..Tigers kill man who scaled fence at Danish zoo

Reuters – 4 hrs ago... 11 July 2012 ..................................................

COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - A man was killed by tigers at a zoo on Wednesday after he scaled a fence and crossed a moat to get into their enclosure in the Danish capital Copenhagen, police said.

The man, in his early 20s, was savaged by three tigers after he broke into Copenhagen Zoo in the early hours. He was dead when staff arrived for work.

"We received an emergency call at about 7:30 a.m. that a person had been found lying in the tiger pen and that three tigers were surrounding that person," police Superintendent Lars Borg told Reuters.

One can hear each Tigers say, "hey todays lunch is fluffy & soft, the heck with the silver ware, just dig in"...

"The tigers attacked him and killed him. It is likely that a bite to the throat was the primary reason for his death," Borg said.

Police said the man, who had not yet been identified, may have entered the enclosure as a way of committing suicide.

Thats one sorry way to end it so painfully and in fear the entire time, so guess again police officer!

They said he was not Danish but his nationality was not yet known. He had a Denmark resident's permit.

Psychologists have been called to the zoo to talk to staff who found the body, the zoo's chief executive Steffen Straede said.

Man Falls Asleep on Airport Baggage Belt, Goes Through X-Ray

By Genevieve Shaw Brown | ABC News Blogs – Thu, Aug 9. Posted 11 Aug. 2012

A photo that appears to be of a man going through an airport X-ray machine is making the rounds on the Internet.

A Norwegian tourist fell asleep on a baggage belt at Rome's Fiumicino airport and traveled 160 feet before being identified by an X-ray scanner, The Telegraph reported.

The 36-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was due to check in for a flight to Oslo, but found no one on duty at the airline desk. He leapt across the counter and fell asleep on the baggage belt with his bag beside him, the paper reported. The man then traveled for 15 minutes through the secure baggage area before being spotted on an X-ray scanner by airport officials.

An airport police officer denied the incident showed cracks in security. And, it seems this kind of incident is not terribly unusual among "drunks or people with psychological problems." In fact, the paper reports the official as saying this kind of thing happens about once a year.

And now when any Airline Check in is empty someone has a way to enter whats suppose to be a secure area. which is the main point, clowns!

Italian newspaper la Repubblica reported the man was intoxicated. The man was reportedly carrying a backpack and a beer at the time of the incident. He was taken to a hospital because of exposure to the X-rays and is facing charges.

Police: Pa. woman cited nonexistent twin in theft

The Associated Press... Posted 24 August 2012 .........................

BIG BEAVER, Pa. — Police say a western Pennsylvania woman blamed her nonexistent twin sister for stealing items from a hotel room.

The Beaver County Times
(Former Daugherty Twp. woman blames fake twin sister for hotel theft - Timesonline.com: Police Fire Courts)

reports Wednesday that police charged 31-year-old Jennifer Brown, of Rochester, with false reports and theft.

State police say Brown took some bed clothes, an alarm clock, coffee pot, basket and a hair dryer — worth a total of $206 — from the Holiday Inn in Big Beaver on Aug. 5. Police say they found Brown in another hotel nearby and she claimed her twin sister had taken the items.

When police found no record of a sister, they say Brown claimed her sister had just returned the items, which police found in the other hotel room.

Brown doesn't have an attorney. Police say relatives confirmed she doesn't have a twin.

.Official: Kidney for Ohio transplant put in trash

Associated Press – 15 hrs ago. 25 August 2012 .............

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A health commissioner says a nurse accidentally disposed of a kidney from a living donor at an Ohio hospital that later suspended its kidney transplant program.

The University of Toledo Medical Center suspended the program after the botched transplant earlier this month.

The Blade newspaper (UTMC nurse tossed out kidney, ruined it - Toledo Blade ) reported Friday a kidney donated by a man to his older sister was thrown away with medical waste in what medical experts describe as a rare accident. The Toledo-Lucas County health commissioner confirms a nurse disposed of the kidney.

A hospital official has said doctors tried unsuccessfully for at least two hours to resuscitate the organ in an attempt to make it usable.

The hospital blamed "human error" and suspended two operating room nurses.

It's unclear what happened to the intended kidney recipient.

___Now why is that? Any reporter worth their profession should have been able to do a follow up!

KALISPELL, Mont. – A man dressed in a military-style "ghillie" suit and apparently trying to provoke reports of a Bigfoot sighting in northwest Montana was struck by two cars and killed, authorities said.

The man was standing in the right-hand lane of U.S. Highway 93 south of Kalispell on Sunday night when he was hit by the first car, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. A second car hit the man as he lay in the roadway, authorities said.

Flathead County officials identified the man as Randy Lee Tenley, 44, of Kalispell. Trooper Jim Schneider said motives were ascertained during interviews with friends, and alcohol may have been a factor but investigators were awaiting tests.

"He was trying to make people think he was Sasquatch so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting," Schneider told the Daily Inter Lake on Monday. "You can't make it up. I haven't seen or heard of anything like this before. Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him."

Ghillie suits are a type of full-body clothing made to resemble heavy foliage and used to camouflage military snipers.

NY teen killed putting head out of party bus in NJ

Quote:
A teenager traveling to a Sweet 16 party was killed after he stuck his head out of the emergency hatch of a double-decker bus and hit the underside of a highway overpass, authorities said.

The gruesome accident followed the warnings of a security guard on the bus who said he told the teens repeatedly not to open the hatch.

Daniel Fernandez, 16, was among 65 teens aboard the bus Friday night from New York City on its way to the party in Garfield, N.J., said Steve Coleman, spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

The teens were dancing and the bus had gotten hot, the security guard, Alex Franco, told the Daily News. Still, he said, he had asked the teens to leave the emergency hatch alone.

‘‘I told them not to open the hatch, like three or four times, but kids, they don’t understand,’’ he said.
Imagine just what a little listening could do...
