Occupy' Disrupts Shareholder Meetings, Demands Speaking Time, Partners With Radical

It’s Spring and Occupy Wall Street has come out of hibernation. With a series of actions, the movement is pushing radical confrontations with companies, cities and citizens.

“Activists with The 99% Spring coalition already have disrupted shareholder meetings this year at EQT Corp. (EQT), Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL) and BNY Mellon (BK). Now they’ve announced a full schedule of ‘non-violent direct action’ at shareholder meetings,” according to Kent Hoover, the Washington Bureau Chief for the Phoenix Business Journal.

The Nation’s Greg Mitchell reported 10 people were arrested on April 23, “during a protest at a Wells Fargo office in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, just one day before the big bank’s shareholder meeting in San Francisco, which is expected to draw thousands of demonstrators.” Protesters “entered Wells Fargo’s downtown Des Moines offices and refused to leave until CEO John Stumpf agreed to give the 99% Power coalition 1 hour of time during the shareholders meeting in San Francisco Tuesday to present their grievances to top bank officials.”

But that’s only a hint at how radical the movement is trying to become. The Occupiers have announced a partnership with hardcore radical AIDS activists ACT UP. According to the liberal Nation, “a quarter century afters [sic] its founding, one of the original direct action pioneers is joining forces with the new kid on the block: Occupy Wall Street.”

Should be an interesting summer with the black radicals screaming for blood and the occupy movement just screaming. And obama is supportive of both groups as he hasn't condemned either one so far. Should help his election chances..................
