Default Elementary School Sings Occupy Movement

The funniest part is the administrator insisting the third graders wrote the lyrics...Because 8 year olds are all about class warfare...

Quote:
Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes — they’re the 1 percent

I used to be one of the 1 percent
I worked all the time
Never saw my family
Couldn’t make life rhyme
Then the bubble burst
It really, really hurt
I lost my money
Lost my pride
Lost my home
Now I’m part of the 99

Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes — they’re the 1 percent

I used to be sad, now I’m satisfied
’Cause I really have enough
Though I lost my yacht and plane
Didn’t need that extra stuff
Could have been much worse
You don’t need to be first
’Cause I’ve got my friends
Here by my side
Don’t need it all
I’m so happy to be part of the 99
I haven't seen the song being sung, but I'm sure the children are wearing government approved brown shirts...

I have a hard time imagining elementary school kids writing those lyrics.

Another representative of socialistic thinking once remarked, "Those who have the youth on their side control the future." He was Hans Schemm from the Nazi Teacher's League.

Some want to lead kids in prayer. Others want to increase their awareness of environmental issues. Why not let the kids decide? Scary I know but maybe they will surprise us.

They are eight years old, they don't know anything. Let them decide? Next you'll want to let them vote.

They are there to learn how to read, write, and do math - not "decide".

Virginia has a demographic of educated parents. Children writing and acting and singing their own songs may seem scary to some. Others will no doubt think it's a well rounded education. There is a website associated with this complaint. I won't post the link. It's commenters often call for the dismantling of the dept of edu. And I think that was the point of posting the vid.

Why not let the kids decide? Because they are kids. In any sane approach to curriculum setting immature children are not in charge of setting the course of study.

Yes you have a point. And if 99% of the parents are satisfied I would say it is sad that the one lady will have an impact on the education of these other children. Perhaps she should send hers to a school where there is no music except parent approved and where kids aren't allowed to be creative.
If a host of parents disagree then I'd say there is a problem.
Of course she can always do as Madeline O Hare did and pretend to represent an organization and take it to court...
