Default CHECK. Crime rates in your city.

Out of 8600 cities in the data base it is set for Topeka and Lincoln, NEB.
We but in 2 places are higher than the National or Lincoln. Put in your state and city and check your location and compare it to others or the National crime rate.

I did Philly and the hated Cowboys...

We're ahead in murder but it looks like they're much better at larceny...

Since I live in a place with a population between Topeka and Lincoln, I compared to both.

Except for car theft, we have lower crime rates than either -- especially the violent stuff..

Glad to hear it. Some cities should be safe and livable. In Topeka the pop. is about half of Linclon so we are doing worst than the rates show really.

I ask myself about once a week what th ehell drove me to move back here!

2 more years and I'm selling out and finding a location based upon thes erates and others that show a simpler, less taxed and safer area to relocate,
sure hope it isn't in Red Neck country....lol

In the Murder group the city of brotherly love will always be above the National average and most cities period. The mob still rules and gangs keep the numbers up. It isn't your average citizen. At least you don't have to duck from snipers. lol

Here's an interesting web-site I came across.

SpotCrime - Know Your Neighborhood

Not sure how accurate it is, but it appears you can see "crime" iconified that has happened in your neighborhood.

My city is way below the national average (almost half for all categories, some less), but the population is low, only 40K. What is interesting, is those stats drop almost by half, in all categories but one, when comparing it to the bordering town. Soooo, if I want to be safer, all I have to do is move about 6 blocks north,

6 blocks. By the time you sold the house and moved that 6 blocks might become the new location of crime.
I noticed when I put in Topeka that the crime was east of me. I live west of Wanamaker Blvd. Our cities shopping corridor. But we get crime in the area at different times.
That is one of the things the site had day by day. Most of what I saw was from the 20th in the list that is below the map.

Not too worried, I live in the quiet part of town, and around the corner from the police department, - likely why it's the quieter part of town, lol.
