You know what guarantees the shotgun "not finding the wrong person"?...

NOT shooting the shotgun in the first place...

very religious isn't it? And no brains with 5 shots. I wonder if he was high or drinking. I haven't heard all the facts. As this happened in 2007. So there is more to the facts, all which say murder. Anti social, and pain and saddness.
Which is what the idea is about to share from city to city, across the land.
That is also why I stopped with it. Even though there was more to post. My hope is that others including you would join in with these basic local situations,

This is the end of my posting anymore until others get wise and share. If you like what you have read so far fine so look in my siggy or above for the local paper.
But because of the time remaining in the useless election and not any input from others
I will continue this topic at my other forum where at least once in a great while others add to it and the number of readers are twice as high as here.

Either join in with news from you town or large city or not. So I can make it into a bigger picture you will actually be able to understand as it happens.

But when this election is won and you ask where the change is? I will laugh at you while joining you to the poor house. Americans are a joke really you are! Each wants change and yet you won't even try to put the picture together.
So IMHO you deserve what is coming, I don't but will have to join you for the suffering. So my thanks to each!

hummm the readership is falling off. But is growing at Political Fever.

Yet nobody wants to share. This puzzels me.

I read papers from several states and these is a lot that is alike in my posts. Some very political, right down to the local levels.

But noboby wants to get involved, why is that? Sorry just thinking out loud.

My guess is that this crowd is more geared toward national politics...

I guess so. But remember the main point I made in asking for this space.

That a lot of each political party power filters down to the state and even th local level of govt., I see it every day in my area. And also in the many different local papers I read from across America.

At the national level the discussion isn't as important as what is being done at the state or city levels. Like Immigration, how the economy is really affecting some, the housing market and etc., etc.

What Washington does or talks about gets passed on down to the states to handle in many cases. So if people from all parts of the states did post items like crime rates, political intrigue, power brokering and the sort we would be more than a state over there or many seperate cities across the land. And we would then see how the national news really affected each in all places. Aw to dream///lol

Westar profit doubles on tax break: CJOnline - Westar profit doubles on tax break

By Michael Hooper

Westar Energy's profit in the first quarter doubled, partly because of a large federal income tax benefit, the company said this morning.

The company earned $60.9 million, or 63 cents per share, for the first quarter 2008, compared with earnings of $29.9 million, or 34 cents per share, for the first quarter 2007.

The increase in quarterly earnings was primarily the result of a $39.4 million, or 40 cents per share, net earnings benefit from the completion of a federal income tax audit covering multiple years.

Plenty to hear from the comments. I say yes if Obama wins.

Blog: Sebelius atop VP list

Speculation about Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' chances of being selected as Sen. Barack Obama's running mate got warmer Friday thanks to a Washington Post blog.

Post political blogger Chris Cillizza listed Sebelius as the most likely candidate to join Obama on the Democrat presidential ticket.

"The second-term Kansas governor earns the top spot because of her ability to further bolster Obama's strengths while not exacerbating his weaknesses," Cillizza wrote. "Picking Sebelius would affirm Obama's core message of change and would give Obama's run even more historic weight. Sebelius' electoral success in ruby red Kansas would also echo Obama's pledge to broaden the playing field in the fall and ensure that the party is competitive in every state. The one knock on Sebelius is the dearth of foreign policy credentials on her resume. But she has six years of strong executive experience and could be the kind of political partner Obama needs in the fall."

Through a spokeswoman, Sebelius said:

"I'm humbled by the suggestion, but what it does more than anything is remind me of how proud I am of the progress we've made in Kansas over my six years as governor. I'll continue working to help Sen. Obama, as I believe he is the right leader for our country, but my focus remains on serving the people of Kansas."

Last year, Democrat strategist James Carville said he hoped Sebelius would be selected.

At that time, the Sebelius camp downplayed the suggestion.

I second that notion. The sooner we can get her out of our state, the better off we'll be.

Absolutely not! We need her here!

I would hate to have her run our country if something happened to the President. However would be a tose up which is worst!

"Absolutely not! We need her here!"

Please, what a stupid comment. If you believed that you would have been calling the gov's office to find out why she wasn't "here" when she was trotting off to Georgia for a golf tournament and Turkey for a secret meeting and Kentucky, Ohio, etc to campaign for Obama...all when the legislature was in session and she was supposed to be "leading" the state. That kind of "leadership" I can do without.

It's moot. Obama won't win the nomination.

On the contrary. That would be an unbeatable ticket! You go Kathleen!

It's a pleasant thought: Kansas without Sebelius...maybe she'll take the Allegruccis with her too, finding decent jobs for them as well as Mike Hayden, Klataske, Sabatini and the rest of her syndicate. The bad news is that we'd be left with a pretty worthless turn-coat for a replacement governor

Well we can sure tell by the responses that we are in the reddest state. And by the way the catholics sure have their never trying to smear the Govenor. All of the cover ups of child molesting priest. They never let the truth be told they just moved their perverted priest to another church to prey on more young innocents.

looks like the rethuglikkkans are out in full form today. is it obama's middle name, or the idea that one voice can make the call for real change that has brought MILLIONS of new voters to the booths that GoPer's fear? mccain stands no chance, not when you have hundreds of thousands of republicans crossing party lines and voting for obama.

all that aside, gov sebelius is an intelligent, powerful WOMAN, another 'no-no' in the conservative playbook.

it shames me to be from kansas, seeing the blatant sexism towards a governor who calls for progress and real change, and the racist undertones against obama who represents EXACTLY the same.
