After weeks of partisan debate, the Senate voted on Wednesday to lengthen unemployment benefits by up to 20 weeks and to extend the $8,000 homebuyer tax credit.http://money.cnn.com/2009/11/04/news...ion=2009110418

The closely watched legislation would extend jobless benefits in all states by 14 weeks. Those that live in states with unemployment greater than 8.5% would receive an additional six weeks. The proposal would be funded by extending a longstanding federal unemployment tax on employers through June 30, 2011.
If the house Republicans are smart they will lobby to have a TRADE agreement and other actual MONEY MAKING schemes inserted in this package as a COMPROMISE to get their votes.

Because that is how laws are passed that benefit most of the people instead of half.

I understand it's politically incorrect and insensitive for me to point out that neither you nor little Johnny get to grade yourselves...
but I'm doing it anyway.

Keep trying...

Nursey reminds me of Sloppy Moe in this cartoon.

All I know is I spend an inordinate amount of time deciphering baiting oneliners instead of talking politics, which is my aim here at this forum.
