NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- A former Louisiana congressman's brother is asking a judge to dismiss the bribery case against him, claiming prosecutors may have leaked word of his expected indictment to a newspaper reporter.

U.S. District Judge Mary Ann Vial Lemmon didn't immediately rule on that request Wednesday by a lawyer for Mose Jefferson, a brother of former Rep. William Jefferson.

U.S. Attorney Jim Letten has said the government wasn't the source of any leak to The Times-Picayune of New Orleans.

Mose Jefferson is charged with bribing a former New Orleans school board president for her support in awarding school contracts to a computer-based teaching system he helped sell.

William Jefferson, himself indicted on charges he took bribes, lost his bid for re-election in December.

Does this guy have any evidence of his pointless claim in the first place?
