Default Gates: U.S. Not Prepared to Respond to North Korea Missile Launch

Anyone remember this story from last month?...

U.S. Ready to Respond to N.Korea Missile

Quote:
In an exclusive interview with ABC News' Martha Raddatz, Adm. Timothy Keating, head of the U.S. Pacific Commands, said that the military is prepared to shoot down any North Korean ballistic missile -- if President Obama should give the order.

"If a missile leaves the launch pad we'll be prepared to respond upon direction of the president," Keating told ABC News. "I'm not a betting man but I'd go like 60/40, 70/30 that it will, they will attempt to launch a satellite. There's equipment moving up there that would indicate the preliminary stages of preparation for a launch. So I'd say it's more than less likely."
Well forget about it...The sleeping giant is just gonna roll over and snore...

Gates: U.S. Not Prepared to Respond to North Korea Missile Launch

Quote:
The United States can do nothing to stop North Korea from breaking international law in the next 10 days by firing a missile that is unlikely to be shot down by the U.S. or its allies, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Sunday.

Appearing on "FOX News Sunday," Gates said North Korea "probably will" fire the missile, prompting host Chris Wallace to ask: "And there's nothing we can do about it?"

"No," Gates answered, adding, "I would say we're not prepared to do anything about it."

Last week, Admiral Timothy Keating, commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific, said the U.S. is "fully prepared" to shoot down the missile. But Gates said such a response is unlikely.
"If you unclench you're fist, we'll shake your hand...and if you continue to clench your fist, we'll check our NCAA brackets instead of doing anything about it."...

Either Gates is seething deep inside or he's given in to the pantyfication...

You ready to see how sad our idea of defense is now?...

Quote:
"I think if we had an aberrant missile, one that was headed for Hawaii, that looked like it was headed for Hawaii or something like that, we might consider it," Gates said. "But I don't think we have any plans to do anything like that at this point."
You'll consider taking out a missile headed for Hawaii??!?!?!?!?!!?...

F**king CONSIDER IT?!?!?!...
