Default Joe Biden and cancer

Just this past Monday (9/12/22), President Biden promised a "moonshot" effort to end cancer.

In theory, that would be a very good thing.

In practice, however, it is really rather silly.

One wonders whether President Biden does not actually realize that there are many different types of cancer--and, therefore, that there is no single "cure" for cancer.

Or--worse yet--if he was simply pandering (which would not be unusual for him).

Comments?

I believe you answered your own question. This is nothing but another, pathetic attempt to distract voters from the disaster that his policies have created in this country. Fortunately, there are enough voters that should see through this idiotic attempt to garner stupid voters.

Joe Biden has been an advocate of trying to cure cancer, probably since DNA was mapped.
Something triggers the rapid growth of cells that attack various parts of the body. If we find that trigger, we might indeed cure all cancers.

To assert that we might "cure cancer" makes about as much sense as saying that we might "cure heart attacks."

I thought he was an advocate for population reduction in foreign countries all this time.

Biden is against cancer? Who would have thunk it? Get the Nobel prize ready he's earned it.

The contention is much like politicians proclaiming ending the "wars" on poverty, drugs and obesity...

Biden is losing the war on credibility...

That would be awesome if cures for cancer were found. However I don't see it being found in our lifetime. Maybe more effective and less dangerous treatments. But not an actual cure.
