You do realize that the President of the Senate is a Democrat effectively making the Senate 51-50. Also, the vote to block vaccine mandates did not need the President of the Senate to vote as a couple of Democrats joined Republicans in standing against those mandates. That is what you would call a Bi-Partisan vote.

Gerrymandering has been going on since the country was formed. That is the advantage a party has in a state when they have control of the legislature. You constantly complain about it in Republican states but never a word when done in blue states, which makes you a hypocrite on the matter.

There is negotiating. However the Left is insisting on an all or nothing approach these days which prevents consensus on most issues. Look no further than AOC and her merry band of Marxist idiots in this arena. They are threatening other Democrats with primary challenges if they don't vote in lock step with their loon left wing, Marxist policies.
