Vaccinated People Also Spread the Delta Variant, Yearlong Study Shows

"People inoculated against Covid-19 are just as likely to spread the delta variant of the virus to contacts in their household as those who havenít had shots, according to new research.

In a yearlong study of 621 people in the U.K. with mild Covid-19, scientists found that their peak viral load was similar regardless of vaccination status, according to a paper published Thursday in The Lancet Infectious Diseases medical journal. The analysis also found that 25% of vaccinated household contacts still contracted the disease from an index case, while 38% of those who hadnít had shots became infected.

The results go some way toward explaining why the delta variant is so infectious even in nations with successful vaccine rollouts, and why the unvaccinated canít assume they are protected because others have had shots. Those who were inoculated cleared the virus more quickly and had milder cases, while unvaccinated household members were more likely to suffer from severe disease and hospitalization."

Rates of hospitalization and death among the vaccinated are far lower than among the unvaccinated. That's a simple, undeniable fact and shows why everyone who can get vaccinated should get vaccinated.

So 300+ million people should get vaccinated so the virus is NOT eradicated, but just so there's a LESS of a chance to get it?...

Do you understand how bad that sounds?...300+ people vaccinated and it would STILL not be under control and will STILL spread among the populace?...

Polio vaccine - Prevents polio
Chicken Pox vaccine - Prevents Chicken Pox
Covid19 vaccine(s) - Does NOT prevent Covid 19...Just decreases the odds

The unvaccinated are 8 to 11 times more likely to die of COVID than the vaccinated. Do you know how stupid it sounds to object to something that effective at saving lives?

Regardless, that should be a personal decision by each individual. While the jab may help those that contract Covid to better recover from the disease, it does nothing to prevent people from getting and spreading Covid. However, those of us with natural immunity are far better protected from ever contracting or spreading the virus in the future.

Those who have had COVID and are not vaccinated are over twice as likely to get reinfected as those who have had CCOVID and are vaccinated. Everyone, even people who have had COVID, should get vacinated.

Not from the studies that I have seen. All indications are that immunity from natural infection is far more durable than from the jabs. Also there is some evidence that the jab weakens immunity in people with natural immunity. If I can come across that info again, I will post it.

There are multiple studies showing that natural immunity+vaccination is far more effective than natural immunity alone. Hereís one:

Quote:
Among Kentucky residents infected with SARS-CoV-2 in 2020, vaccination status of those reinfected during MayĖJune 2021 was compared with that of residents who were not reinfected. In this case-control study, being unvaccinated was associated with 2.34 times the odds of reinfection compared with being fully vaccinated.

I'm trying really hard to give a rat's ass about how the vaccine is effective. But how about keeping the damned government out of ordering people to get vaccinated?
