And BTW, I'm pretty sure no one was praising the changes as "progressive" and "modern". Seems "Crazy" and "Weird" were the right words.
And no one or assumed that the people who wanted the original Superman back "hated", "PHOBIC" or "bigots" against blimps, cats, ants, monkeys, babies, cavemen, vampires, centaurs, teenage girls, cheetahs, etc.

I hate to break it to you, but Superman is a fictional character. He is whatever his authors want him to be.

With a post like this, the whole point of the story has soared completely over your head. I wouldn't expect anything different.

I understand the point of the story. Some guy doesn’t understand that authors do, in fact, have the right to make changes to their characters.

Having a right to do something does not mean that doing something is the right thing to do...

I don't believe anyone (on forum or the public) is accusing the authors of breaking any laws...

It seems to make no difference if the well known aspect of reality is a fictional character or a fact of biology ...or otherwise... it doesn't seem to matter.
Changing things to fit their preferred view of the world, in spite of all history and hard evidence to the contrary seems to be the goal.
And somehow they assume everyone in the world should embrace the new Woke vision of reality, and if we don't we're called mentally and morally deficient.
