Follow the Science! 30 Peer-Reviewed Studies Show Efficacy of Natural Immunity

Follow the Science! 30 Peer-Reviewed Studies Show Efficacy of Natural Immunity

"The Brownstone Institute, an Austin, Texas-based nonprofit, has compiled a list of 30 peer-reviewed studies showing that those who have recovered from the coronavirus have long-lasting and robust immunity comparable to or better than those who are vaccinated.

The Biden administration will not follow the science and consider natural immunity. Instead, they persist in pushing for more and more draconian vaccine mandates.

Having mild COV can be enough to provide natural immunity for life, so why are the Biden officials and Dr. Fauci ignoring it and others claiming those who have had COV-19 must still get vaccinated?"

Follow the money. There is no money in NOT vaccinating people. The US Gov't is spending Billions of dollars on vaccines to distribute not just to American citizens, but citizens of other countries. With all of that money changing hands, who really knows how much is making it's way back to the politicians that are pushing it.

There are multiple studies showing that those who have had COVID but are not vaccinated are twice as likely to get a second COVID infection as those who have had COVID and are vaccinated. Even among those with some form of natural immunity, it is safer to get vaccinated.

If there are lot's of studies do back up your claim, perhaps you could post some of them? The OP linked to a story that then linked to a paper that listed 30 studies that say quite the opposite. But hey, maybe we should just listen to a foul mouthed, internet keyboard warrior.

No, it does not say the opposite., Those are studies comparing natural immunity and vaccine immunity. I was talking about the difference between 1. natural immunity plus vaccination, and 2. natural immunity alone. Here are two studies that show that 1 is twice as effective as 2 at preventing reinfection:

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7032e1.htm

Quote:

Among Kentucky residents infected with SARS-CoV-2 in 2020, vaccination status of those reinfected during May–June 2021 was compared with that of residents who were not reinfected. In this case-control study, being unvaccinated was associated with 2.34 times the odds of reinfection compared with being fully vaccinated.

What are the implications for public health practice?

To reduce their likelihood for future infection, all eligible persons should be offered COVID-19 vaccine, even those with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Quote:

In model 3, we matched 14,029 persons. Baseline characteristics of the groups are presented in Table 1b. Examining previously infected individuals to those who were both previously infected and received a single dose of the vaccine, we found that the latter group had a significant 0.53-fold (95% CI, 0.3 to 0.92) (Table 4a) decreased risk for reinfection
The bottom line is that getting vaccinated materially reduces the risks of COVID infection, hospitalization and death for everyone, whether they have had COVID before or not.
