McCain kept his promise to use public financing, Obama broke his. As usual you make things up when the facts don't suit you. But don't worry, Donald Trump exploded the myth of the candidate with the most money spent always wins the election with his victory in 2016.

After braying against Citizens United Democrats displayed their usual hypocrisy by forming PACS of their own. Of course party loyalists simply pretended there was no hypocrisy.

Instead of doing 2 minutes of research to find the Obama campaign's big lie smearing Romney for killing a steel company employee's wife you do your typical denial and attack. It's telling that when you haven't heard of a fact you just attack.
I remember that and I'm sure Salty does too, she just can't help herself from making untrue claims

What part of my previous post hurt your feelings? I didn't attack you or anyone else.

They were both taking donor money, but Obama quit taking the $3 you check on your tax filing https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=5206643&page=1

I don't know why.

If you bothered to read the opening paragraphs of the article you linked you'd know Obama broke his promise to use public finanacing and why.

Quote:
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama will opt out of the presidential public financing system in the general election, he announced Thursday, setting aside an earlier promise to take public money if his Republican rival did the same.

Obama, who has shattered fundraising records in his White House bid, is walking away from $84.1 million in public money. He is the first presidential nominee to opt out of the public financing system since it was established in 1976.
Chicago politicians like Obama proclaim their integrity but always go for the money. It's true the Presidential campaign public financing system is broken, Obama is the one who broke it. And, why not? Democrats demand public financing but when the Chosen One is awash in private donations they line up to vote for him anyway.

In the 2016 campaign victory Trump put to rest the supposedly ironclad rule that the candidate with the most money always wins destroying the primary reason for public finanacing in the process.
