Default Stacey Abrams on the Georgia voting law

Stacey Abrams (the defeated Georgia gubernatorial candidate, and general rabble-rouser) was just asked by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) if the voting laws in Delaware, New York, Massachusettes, and other (blue) states are "racist," as she claims that the Georgia law is--when these laws are actually more restrictive than the Georgia law is (and especially as concerning no-excuse absentee voting).

Her response: Why, it all depends upon the "intent."

One wonders: Is this response for real?

Is she actually claiming that she can get inside legislators' heads, and discern "intent"?

Okayyyyyy...

I still don't understand how this women has an audience. She is just another in a long line of race baiting politicians looking to make a name for themselves while trying to tear down anything that resembles an orderly government. They can't win using the truth and have to resort to faux outrage, never once acknowledging that the system that they rail against, provided them the platform they currently hold.

Lol. Of course she can discern the intent of the Republican legislators in Georgia, as can anyone paying attention. They want to make it harder for Democrats, particular voters of color, to vote.

(And she's incredibly successful for a "rabble-rouser," having helped to flip Georgia to the Democrats in the presidential and two senatorial elections. You can denigrate her all you want, but she's one of the handful of most important contributors to the defeat of Donald Trump and thus a genuine American hero.)

Perhaps you can demonstrate how this law makes it harder for Democrats and specifically people of color, to vote? I know that is the company line of the left wing in this country, but not one of them has come out and shown how the law makes it harder for democrats and minorities to vote.

Georgia has a real problem with their voting administration: the fact that voters, predominantly in poor urban areas, have to wait 5 or more hours in line to vote. That is unacceptable. But, instead of addressing that problem by providing and expanding alternatives to in-person election day voting, the Georgia law significantly restricts access to and the ability of voters to vote by mail or absentee, which is likely to just make the lines even longer at urban polling places.

There are 19 days of voting prior to election day. Also, they have expanded the ability to vote by mail and absentee from pre-ScamDemic processes. What they did do was make ballot harvesting illegal and designate specific ballot drop box sites. NONE of this makes it any harder to vote. Anyone can still request and absentee ballot and cast their vote. They just will NOT be shot-gunning unsolicited ballots through the mail.

Stacey Abrams who might be governor today but for the present office holder not stepping down from supervising elections for goodness sake! And last minute shenanigans like throwing out "unlawful" votes, is a hero. She won't quit fighting for old Jim Crow Georgia. No way, no how. Good for her.

Abrams is a politician wannabee whose only claim to fame is she lost an election. Anything she says should be looked at from that perspective.
