Default Trump Commutes Roger Stone's Sentence

Well how about that?

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pre...stone-sentence

In a lengthy statement released late Friday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said the president had made the decision to commute Stone's sentence "in light of the egregious facts and circumstances surrounding his unfair prosecution, arrest, and trial."

“Roger Stone is a victim of the Russia Hoax that the Left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency,” McEnany said in a statement Friday night. “There was never any collusion between the Trump Campaign, or the Trump Administration, with Russia. Such collusion was never anything other than a fantasy of partisans unable to accept the result of the 2016 election. The collusion delusion spawned endless and farcical investigations, conducted at great taxpayer expense, looking for evidence that did not exist.”

McEnany added that Mueller’s office “resorted to process-based charges leveled at high-profile people in an attempt to manufacture the false impression of criminality lurking below the surface.”

had the case not been politically charged, Rosenberg would have received a five-year sentence.
Rosenberg was one of the first two inmates of the High Security Unit (HSU), a high-security isolation unit in the basement of the Federal Correctional Institution (currently the Federal Medical Center) in Lexington, Kentucky. Allegations were made that the unit was an experimental underground political prison that practiced isolation and sensory deprivation . The women were subject to 24-hour camera surveillance and constant strip searches, and were given only limited access to visitors or to exercise. After touring the unit, the American Civil Liberties Union denounced it as a "living tomb," and Amnesty International called it "deliberately and gratuitously oppressive." After a lawsuit was brought by the ACLU and other organizations, the unit was ordered closed by a federal judge in 1988 and the prisoners transferred to regular cells.

Sooo it seems what we're seeing here is clear, that the justice system is, at times, (regularly?) used for political purposes. And the justice system is not always BLIND or fair.
Some people get more "legal" scrutiny and punishment OR NOT based on who they are and who they know.

in AMERICA? Really?

you mean that there are some people who get BETTER treatment by the justice system and other people get WORSE treatment under the law.
That the law is used to control some groups in America?

wow.

BTW Epstien didn't kill himself in federal prison either.

the justice system needs SERIOUS REFORM and constant oversight. there are no clean hands.

Rosenberg was convicted of possessing arms and explosives which were to be used in a wave of terrorist violence designed to overthrow the US government. She was part of the Weather Underground a domestic terrorist organization. Some sympathetic Leftist claims she should have gotten 5 years and you are beside yourself over the injustice.

Stone was convicted of lying to Congress something that occurs frequently but isn't prosecuted. The activist judge insisted on imposing a gag order preventing Stone a public figure, from defending himself or making a living. It was a transparent attempt to coerce Stone into falsely incriminating President Trump. Of course the Resistance cheers on the KGB tactics by Mueller's witchhunt.

It will be hilarious when Trump and Barr succeed in getting everyone who committed crimes to help Trump get elected out of jail (where’s that Manafort pardon?), and then Trump ends up serving time.

No. History does, due to what others were getting for what she was charged with (see references but there are more, try the encyclopedia)

Stone was convicted of one count of obstructing an official proceeding, five counts of making false statements to Congress, and one count of witness tampering.
stone instigated the wiki leaks dump (hacked DNC emails) in 2016 and the hacking of Democratic National Committee and then later, podesta emails.
but his charges were related to the cover up and both Gates and Bannon testified against him

She spent 16 years in prison, Stone had not even been sentenced yet.

why stone was pardoned is his loyalty to Donald.
Stone’s motivation for his lies and obstruction was that “the truth looked bad for Donald Trump.” link

It is related to political elite, not skin color.
