"On Friday, two PSAs featuring former first lady Michelle Obama urging African Americans to stay home in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus were released. Prominent African American radio hosts who have nationally syndicated shows shared the PSAs with their audiences.

“Hi everybody, it’s Michelle Obama. Our communities are among the hardest hit by the coronavirus, and we’ve got to do everything we can to keep each other safe,” says the former first lady in the 30-second PSA. “And that means staying home because even if we are not showing any symptoms, we can still spread the virus to others. Let’s keep each other safe by just staying home. Thank you so much and God bless.”"

FREDO CUMO of CNN did the same . Going out when he had the virus.
But telling others WITHOUT it to stay home.

Michelle wants the African-American community to stay home...That's a community Michelle and Barack haven't lived in for decades, so THEY can move around with no problem...

IMO, golfing is no more 'dangerous' than going for a walk, jogging, or a stroll in the park, if 'social distancing' is applied. Outdoor, solitary activities, in general.

I wonder what would be the reaction to me doing my litter clean up on the roadside that I periodically do.

You are correct. However, there were stay at home orders in the state and the golf courses were closed for everyone else. Add to that the hypocrisy of Michelle Obama encouraging everyone else to stay home while Barack is out enjoying himself.

Golf courses are open in Virginia for everyone.

I do have to say that it's par for the course (pun intended) for this place that posters are more worked up about this than about the negligence and malevolence of the current president.

Remember the wall to wall outrage over then NJ Governor Christie and family enjoying themselves on the beach after warning people away due to an approaching super storm? Of course not. But Obama's golf outing in defiance of a stay at home order is different, he is modeling the structural changes he spoke about just days earlier when endorsing Biden.

Plus the Obamas, by default, are considered to be responsible and wise.
Frankly i'm not surprised at Trump's often outrageous actions and words.
But the Obamas, they wouldn't say one thing and do another right?

And Chris Cumo, the highly concerned CNN news anchor, living in the worse hit spot in the nation, and having the virus would never endanger his fellow New Yorkers by disobeying the LAWS that are going to SAVE US ALL!?

Look either they KNOW the laws and edicts are BS. or they think the rules don't apply to them. or both.

Topic specific. Everyone here is well aware of your personal dislike for Trump.

While Obama was being a bit dismissive of Michelle's message to the public, I don't see anything to get bent about him playing golf, regardless of who he is.

Unfortunately, you would have a cow if Trump were to do the same, under the same circumstances, bald truth of that has presented itself may times.

You need to learn that who the person is needs to be put aside, when trying to view an action from a objective standpoint.

If Obama was just playing golf, there would be nothing worth reporting. The point is he was arrogantly defiant of the shelter in place order common folk are supposed to abide by. Adding insult to injury Obama was chauffeured to the course by a government driver and protected by the Secret Service detail. But they are disposable compared to Obama's desire to play golf.
