As a rule, Conservatives don't worship people. It is mostly progressive PC types that worship people they think are better than themselves.
I do

What are you even talking about......

~ The 2008 stock market crash took place on Sept. 29, 2008, when the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 777.68 percent. This was the largest single-day loss in Dow Jones history up to this point. It came on the heels of Congress' rejection of the bank bailout bill.

That was only months before Obama took office....

Get your facts straight jr....

No its notů.

They are connected at the hip in all sorts of different ways...

The banking industry also melted down, remember.....?

~ Jump to Banking crisis - It began in 2007 with a crisis in the subprime mortgage market in the United States, and developed into a full-blown international banking crisis with the collapse of the investment bank Lehman Brothers on September 15, 2008. ... The crisis was nonetheless followed by a global economic downturn, the Great Recession.

No! they are NOT connected at the hip

The so-called Bush Recession was over a couple months after Obama took office, and although the markets slowly went back up, our economy faltered for the next 7 1/2 years.

The FEDS met every quarter ( 32 times ) under Obama, and every time they said the economy was too weak, and to fragile to raise interest rates even a 1/4 point.

As soon as Trump was elected they started raising rates every friggin quarter.

So you are saying that the US Economy and the Stock Market are one in the same?

I will concede that things were bad when Obama took office. No one will dispute that. However, signs that the economy were beginning to recover were there. The Market would not reflect that until around March, but the recovery had already begun.

The problem was that Obama thought he had to inject government spending to get the recovery started by passing his almost Trillion Dollar stimulus bill. This along with other onerous banking regulations slowed the recovery to one of the weakest recoveries in the history of the US economy.

That being said, the Bush admin didn't do much to help the situation by ignoring the problem until it was too late. However, Bush DID try to reform Fannie and Freddie years earlier and warned Congress against the practice of banks handing out unsecured loans (initiated by the Clinton administration and Janet Reno) to people that could not afford them, but was cut off by Barnie Frank and the other Democrats in Congress. Had those warning been heeded years earlier, the 2008 Recession could have been avoided.

I truly believe that the Left did not care about the economy. Bush was POTUS so they knew they could blame everything on him.

What the left refuses to talk about is that they held both the house AND senate that last 2 years of Bush, they had ALL the control.

Bush was a lame duck, but they knew their brethren were too stupid to know that Bush wasn't running the show.

I could never figure out the animosity towards Soros but some on the right go ballistic upon hearing the name. I look up his name and he seems kind of mellow. Donates to left wing causes like the Koch Klan donates to right wing causes. Big deal, ho hum and all that unless I'm missing something maybe?

First, he doesn'e tout what he does...and that's because he does things on the "down-low" so people don't make connections with him...

Example...A few years back, he started an agenda where he would try to elect secretaries-of-state in each state so they can deny election verification for Republican governors by making up irregularities...

Secretary of State Project

In the bigger picture, Soros is what many Liberals are...Rich people who used capitalism to make their millions, then denounce capitalism at every turn publicly...he is an economic version of David Duke and Louis Farrakhan rolled into one...
