I do not think that President Trump will be impeached--let alone removed from office.

Here are my thoughts in that regard:

(1) Although the Democrats control the House (which impeaches), many are centrists who won in 2018; and they won in districts carried by Donald Trump in 2016. All in all, they would probably rather displease Nancy Pelosi than to displease their constituents.

(2) If President Trump were to (somehow) be impeached by the House, there is no possible way that the Democrats--who hold only 47 Senate seats--could muster the 67 votes necessary to convict.

(3) Both the Democrats' and the Republicans' bases would be very much energized in 2020, by impeachment. But the tie-breaker would be the independents.

Most independents would probably see this as an overreach--as a crude, political ploy--and would therefore be more inclined to vote Republican in 2020.

There is even a chance--albeit a slight one, in my opinion--that the Democrats would lose control of the House, as a result of this.

I would suggest Dave1 doesn't know Trump's core supporters very well either. Most of us were, as conservatives, reluctant to support him in 2015-early216. But he was the first GOP candidate in decades to promise what we wanted to hear. And then he delivered.

The left has threatened impeachment since the day he was elected. This, months before ha ever had a chance to do any High crimes and misdemeanors. So far, after 3 years of trying, they have yet to invent a charge that meets the requirement, much less prove he actually did anything.

And still they threaten.


He promised law and order and he delivered
He promised border security, and he delivered
He takes no BS from Republicans, Democrats, the Media or foreign powers. And he delivers.
He promise economic expansion and he delivered it.
He promised to be open and transparent to the American people. His tweets are exactly that. And it drives his critics mad.

He th little tongue in cheek, we get it. And it drives the left wild.

Having nothing with which to counter, they pull the race card, Promote hoax after hoax, and threaten impeachment. Just what the American people want to hear. NOT!

The Founder's purpose for the clause of Impeachment " was to have a process by which WE THE PEOPLE could remove from office, a President who's actions and corruptions brought harm to the country. Despite the opinions of some, Trump has not done any harm to the country. Just to the progressives and the Democratic party who, frankly, brought that onto themselves. His biggest crime of note, he put Hilary in tears. We wanted her in jail but,,,on that he did not,as yet, deliver.
