Default How to take on Iran

Apparently, Iran planted mines, which recently exploded, on four foreign oil tankers.

Moreover, it seems that Iran had a proxy do a rocket attack on the US embassy in Baghdad.

Retired General Jack Keane has said that the commercial ships of all our allies--both in Europe and Japan--should be re-flagged; they should carry the US flag, instead of that of their respective countries.

Moreover, they should be escorted by US warships.

And if Iran then fires upon them...well, then appropriate action should be taken.

Iran needs to be dealt with with force; it's the only way they understand. Negotiating does jack-sh*t.

How to respond to a country like Iran with an official policy of death to America?

Continue to build support for sanctions with other nations.

Support Iranian dissidents as they protest the theocracy.

Continue to speak out against Iran's support for terrorism.

Support Iran's adversaries in the region such as Saudi Arabia.

Work with NATO to create a task force to keep the strait of Hormuz and the surrounding area open for navigation.

I think we should just send them a few more pallets of unmarked cash in exchange for a treaty they won't sign. That worked so well last time.

Seriously, the only thing any country in the Mideast understands is a bigger stick. Iran blows up two of our ships, we blow up three of their power plants.

At the United Nations in late 2002 or early 2003 then Sect. of State Colin Powell put up a satellite photo of a semi-truck with trailer and claimed it was a "mobile chemical lab" of Saddam's.

Over the last couple of days US intelligence posted pictures of an unmarked white power boat with unidentified individuals apparently removing a limpet mine (not attaching it) can claimed it was Iranians removing evidence of their involvement in the attack.

We know that the mobile chemical lab wasn't a mobile chemical lab. We have no evidence supporting a belief that the "white power boat" is Iranian or that any Iranians were on board the power boat.

Some of the "evidence" being cited by the White House of Iranian attacks has even been attributed to other groups like an attack in Afghanistan that the Taliban has already claimed responsibility for.

Just because the White House claims the Iranians did something that doesn't make it a fact. The Bush White House never had actual evidence that Iraq had WMD's and so far the Trump White House doesn't have any actual evidence of Iran committing attacks.

Worse still the White House doesn't have any strategy for dealing with Iran. There's no "end game" where a systematic approach will result in something positive for the US and Iran.

For a vessel to reflag to a US flag requires them to comply with US maritime laws and the reason they don't reflag is because they don't want to comply with our maritime laws. It would cost them a metric buttload of money to hang the US flag from the stern of their ship.

They won't do it so what does Retired General Jack Keane plan to do when they tell us to "Shove it" up our rectal cavity?

No evidence that Iran was involved.

No evidence
exactly.

Funny how some on the right correctly want evidence for Russian collusion Trump but want to assume that Iran has committed every crime that happens in the Gulf.

I notice how the Left, who demands no one question the intelligence community when it comes to evidence (or lack of) when it comes to Trump, immediately questions the evidence (or lack of) when it comes to Iran...
