I believe there is a significant difference between someone, who has no control or understanding, saying the VA doesn't need repair as though it was just fine when for decades it was not. And another who does have control and power saying they have just fixed it from what it was.

I believe you are smart enough to know that. However you are welcome to prove me wrong.

I also believe Trump is over the line in his statement which appears to take credit for his work at the expense of a known idiot like AOC. He should be a better person than that. I also question his wisdom in saying he "fixed it" when veterans are still committing suicide because they cannot quickly get serviced.

THE VA is better than it was two years ago but, it has a long way to go to be rated excellent. And excellent is what our veterans deserve.

Well, the VA may be doing better under Trump, but that doesn't mean it's great.

I go to Scripps in La Jolla for my orthopedic care. Knee, shoulder, and back. it is the most efficient place I have ever been. Any place, not just medical facilities. If my appointment is at 2pm they are ready at 2, if I get there 10 minutes early, they take me 10 minutes early. I have been there numerous times for xrays and exams and I'm out in 20-30 minutes.

The VA system is a Leviathan. It cannot be overhauled or fixed overnight. But until Trump, every politician promised to do something,,,,, and then did nothing else but promise again at the next election.

Medicare is not a health care system. It's a government health insurance system. The VA provides a health care system (where insurance isn't required).


One part of the Democrat's proposal is coverage for vision, hearing, and dental that's just as important as other medical services for your body. I don't know why vision, hearing, and dental aren't covered on all health insurance plans.

Just like the question of Law Enforcement's work around the country. It often depends on where you are (...and who you are.)
In some places the VA's care is great, in other places it's crap. But overall there are serious issues that need to be addressed rather than ignored with feel good platitudes about the VA's "Cadillac Service".


I hope this Cadillac has a 'bumper to bumper' warranty, cause it's seem kinda lemony.
