It's sad that Barack Obama, the fool, praised Hugo Chavez to the hilt for for taking Venezuela to socialism. Now look at V., the people are starving to death.

I don't need to see any more after that remark from the military monkey saying the troops take orders only from the sovereign decision of the people.

Socialism really reels in the suckers, I'll say.

That is where our Democrats want to take us. They will give up their guns, their retirement savings, and their businesses, to be taken care of by the government. Until the money runs out in a few short years. Then we will see another Venezuela, but on a much larger scale.

It will be a great opportunity for China to take us over after our collapse.

Venezuela's condition is the predetermined demise of every socialist experiment ever attempted. While is is important, frankly it does not matter that the money will run out. What matters is the loss of individual freedom which will likely never return.

Has anybody noticed that there are rich people in socialist countries also? Of course not, and socialists themselves will tell people that rich socialists do not have to give up their money. That's why there are poor socialists as well as rich socialists. What a paradise!

As perhaps one of the few, I will respond that if you knew what you were talking about you might have a leg to stand on. Venezuela is not a socialist government, and it is only partially socialist in its economy. The mistake it made with its revolution was not taking over all private industry.
Not that I am for socialism or capitalism, it's just that if you own some industries and not others looks like it makes it hard to operate because you still have oligarchs or wanna be oligarchs willing to sell their souls and starve the country to get control.
Number two, yes socialism is very popular throughout the world right now, the main reason being that capitalism has had a brutal overreach and we saw what it did to the globe in 2008.
That said it is still Venezuela's business who their president is. Lord knows the US isn't any good guide for picking chief executives.

Number Three- Some countries are still suffering under what we did in 2008 and we then have made it worse for Venezuela by blockading their oil, medicine, commodities and medicine trade there.
Then we want to make a grand stand on the world stage so we can take over their oil fields (Bolton said this out loud even).
Perhaps the world is not as naive about the U.S.'s 'humanitarianism' in Latin America as it once was.

Whoaaaah, Nelly! So you are saying that a country has to be 100 percent socialist for socialism to be a success. That will be a fun thing to watch until the money runs out.
