They are not the Zenith of healthcare of which we are constantly reminded. And yet we are constantly told our system should be like theirs.

The 16 countries with the world's best healthcare systems and why

Sweden is 6th. Life expectancy 80.7

Luxembourg is#1

Germany is #10, and I know through friends married during the war they have free or mostly free health care. One's a big Republican donor but she says if she needed an operation she would go visit relatives in Germany and have it done their for free.

7. Hong Kong — The tiny city-state of Hong Kong has 11 private and 42 public hospitals to serve its population of just over 7.2 million people. In 2012, women in Hong Kong had the longest average life expectancy of any demographic on earth.
You may be thinking of #3. Switzerland

-Rich, beautiful, and incredibly healthy. Switzerland has pretty much all anyone could want from a country. Its healthcare service is universal and is based upon the mandatory holding of health insurance by all citizens.
Psst...the US isn't on the list.

Oh here it is! It made an different list for the fifth time:

Quote:
According to the reports published by Commonwealth Fund titled ‘How the Performance of the U.S. Health Care System Compares Internationally’. They studied 11 industrialized nation and the performance of their health care infrastructure. The US ranked last among the 11 countries which included the UK, it was ranked the best among all countries. The other countries involved in the study were Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, France, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland.

The factors considered for judging the survey included quality of care, access to medical facility, efficiency, equity, and healthy lives. In the funds National Scorecard, quality of care can be defined as — one that is safe, effective, coordinated, and patient-centric.

My husband has already had the benefit of Medicare. Luckily when he got cancer he was over 65. He benefited from newer technology after we got to compare doctors' conclusions and preferred course of action. Got on it early and quickly. Also the best urologist in the country may live right here in this area (retired now though). He went to the VA also whence his original tests were done. We decided to go with the local specialist. I felt good for my husband to know all his hard work paid off when we needed it, also he was still contributing cause he went back to work for a few years after that!
A friend to my son got it at age 54 ish. Before he was 60 he was dead. His expensive (cobra) private insurance didn't pay for much. then of course when he couldn't work even enough part time hours to make cobra payments, tough luck charlie. I don't know if he qualified for medicaid before he died or not.
but yeah the ER won't give you cancer therapy
And I have benefited from my private HC insurance. So what? The fact is that Medicare for all would bankrupt this country and destroy the greatest HC system in the world.

All of your babble doesn't change the fact that the purpose of the government isn't to provide a living for us. The government is in place to protect it's citizen's rights, not to force onerous government programs down our throats.
There is no "over the top" anymore, that's the point. Trump doing oral favors is typical liberal fantasyland, Kamala Chickenheading for advancement is not only true it is a well-known tactic.

I love playing on the scorched battlefield of public discourse that the left has created. The attacks on opposition and the tearing down of any standards of morality the left engages in extinguishes any claim of injured sensibilities or expectation (or demand) of respect for one's feelings.

I don't care if you don't like it, the practices of the left don't permit you to be offended.
I like that, may I use it?
