Libs denying facts. Love it! Typical, but still love it! All libs had to say was, "That's fuqed up. We need to crack down on this." But libs don't mind if illegals vote. Yet another reason I'm not a Democrat.

We have a problem with the right overhyping the actual impact of voter fraud in this country.

That's NOT to say voter fraud isn't a problem before anyone goes there, I agree that any number of illegal votes is too many. Unfortunately, thanks to the sensationalism pushed by outlets like Fox News with headlines like the OP, it'll be taken as fact that Texas most definitely found tens of thousands of illegal voters and votes. It's to the point where the sitting president is sharing this misleading garbage on social media.

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...s-voted-texas/

The truth is that 95,000 number is an estimate of registered voters who at one time weren't eligible due to self-identified citizenship. There were no checks made to see if any of them mis-identified, gained citizenship, or if there was any error in the matching. It was a very preliminary guess that got twisted in something it wasn't.

Of that 95,000, 58,000 have voted at least once since 1996.

58,000 “maybes” that are turning into "no"s pretty quickly when prodded with a little scrutiny.

" said they received 30,000 names — the largest single batch of potential noncitizen voters — from the secretary of state’s office on Monday. By Tuesday afternoon, they had determined that roughly 400 of those names were duplicates and 60 percent so far of the others were United States citizens."

That's a clue. If 60% are citizens and there are two choices, then the other 40% must be non citizens.

That's why I concentrated on the 30,000 already checked. 40% of those is 12,000. Agreed, that is not the final, final, figure, but I doubt the other 28,000 will tally much differently. Other counties have already said they are seeing similar numbers.

Pennsylvania just admitted to 11,000 illegal aliens are registered to vote there.

Your facts weren't facts at all. I believe it's called fake news these days?

This is also incorrect.

So far. Meaning the investigation at the county level isn't completed, nor is it a reasonable clue suggesting that the other 40% were noncitizens, much less noncitizens who voted.

Also again:

Quote:
“We are not willing to conclude at this point that we know of anybody on this list who is not a United States citizen,” Douglas Ray, special assistant attorney for Harris County, said. “We may determine that at a later time, and we are going to investigate that very carefully, but as you can tell by the numbers, so far things ain’t looking good for this list,” referring to the state’s claim.

As I said before, one illegal vote is one too many, but sensationalist drivel like "ZOMG tens of thousands of illegal votes" doesn't help things either. All it's used for is propaganda to push for more restrictive laws on voting.

Wonder if this end will like Trump's phony vote fraud commission and just fizzle out without proving a single illegal vote.

"so far" means that they haven't counted all the disputed files. Are you claiming that when the final tally is in the results will be substantially different? I doubt they will. Why is it not reasonable to assume the other 40% are non citizens? Is there some choice between citizen and non citizen?

Why, if thousands are shown to be voting illegally, is it unreasonable to push not for more restrictive regulations, but to show you meet those already in place? 18, citizen, in some cases, particularly a felon, where other restrictions apply, you lose your rights.

There are two rights in the Constitution that have requirements. Shouldn't we insure that those exercising the right meet the requirements?

Don't waste your time trying to make this about Trump. It's not.

It's def a serious prob that needs to be fixed. Libs won't take the initiative because most illegals vote Democrat.

Oof.

Local batch of suspected noncitizen voters produces zero noncitizen voters.

State: All 366 on local list of potential noncitizen voters are citizens

Still batting a goose egg with this story.

Yes. Immensely, substantially different from the initial claim. And we're talking about voter rolls going back to 1996. We already know that a lot of the people on that list should never have been on it to begin with.

Because there's no evidence that they are. And we especially shouldn't assume considering how poorly this list was compiled and how it's already been shown that a lot of folks of the list are US citizens. So i'm going to be extremely skeptical, anyone should be.

Texas already has strong voter ID laws, it should be one of the places where we'd least likely see voter fraud. So when I see sensationalist headlines like in the OP, that's really suspicious.

We do, that's actually what audits like these are for.

At least when done properly, and not like what Ken Paxton did by announcing a wild conclusion without hard evidence and before any real deep investigation took place.

Why not? The president isn't above criticism, especially when he tweeted on the story.
