Unhappy Mom shoots dead son who tried to put her in nursing home

This is so sad: the son was preparing to put her in a nursing home, so she shot and killed him because she didn't want to go.

Quote:
A 92-year-old woman shot her son to death after she took exception to his plan to move her into an Arizona retirement home, authorities said Tuesday.

The elderly mother faced off with her 72-year-old son at his Fountain Hills home, pulled a pistol from her bathrobe and blasted him around 10 a.m. Monday, according to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Anna Mae Blessing told cops she had been stewing over her son's decision to kick her out for days and "believed he ruined" her life.

“You ended my life, so I’m taking yours,” Blessing allegedly said during her arrest, the Arizona Republic reported.

She stashed two guns in her pockets for the fateful confrontation.

She was living in his home, so he had every right to remove her if she was too difficult to live with. He wasn't kicking her to the curb; he found a place where she would be taken care of. So sad.

AOL needs an editor. The title about killing a dead son looks asinine. She didn't shoot someone who was already dead.

I'm not confrontational like that, but I'm sure I will go to jail for beating the crap out of any great-grandchildren who try to put me and my wife into a nursing home. The line reads something like this: "Mom shoots to death a son...", but the way it is written, people could use the "a", like in "Mom shoots dead a son..." Never mind. I'm rambling.

yeah there are services she probably qualifies for simply due to her age that would have taken care of her in the home.
I don't blame her. But I know sometimes tough decisions are made.
