I'm fine with kids speaking their minds and excersizing their rights. If they beileve that strongly about abortion go for it. I think it's great when anyone regardless of age wants to get involved in political activism. If you beileve in it that much, go fight for it and talk to other people about. As long as it's not hate or racist or just some people trying to just piss people off and troll. Nothing but good can come from people getting off the internet and meeting people in real life with different opinions and different life experiences.

Teachers jobs are to teach. If they can teach something outside of a classroom doesn't mean the aren't doing their jobs. There are some lessons afforded to us in our society simply because history gave us the opportunity to learn something from it. Education isn't all about algebra and science.

Dismiss these kids at your own peril, they'll be running the world eventually.

People have said not to just dismiss the right as stupid, as it's polarizing and you won't get through to them that way, etc. But it's hard to imagine that someone with even average intelligence could be so lacking in self-awareness as they are.

The faculty should never involve themselves or sanction a student protest, regardless of the reason. Their job is to teach, not to immerse themselves in a protest. Perhaps they could have taught the students about the U.S. Constitution and discussed that.
Suspending a student for refusing to participate in a protest is wrong. (And that is what happened)
The kid should not have gone to study hall. He had a scheduled class to be in and he remained in that scheduled class.

Yeah, education also includes history.
Every nation in history that has disarmed their citizens has been a dictatorship that eventually violated human rights.
I don't want to be a nation similar to Hitler's Nazi Germany, Stalin's Russia, Pol Pot's Cambodia or Mao Zedong's China.

This is a fact that most liberals wish to ignore in their quest to "make the world a safer place". They tend to ignore basic human instincts to seek power and control the world around you. When given too much power and authority, most humans fight to keep it or even increase it. That is why our Constitution is so unique in that it puts protections in place to prevent such occurrences. It is a shame that those on the left wish to remove those protections.
