Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) was pummeled on Friday after she made a claim many found shocking: that she “believes in science.”

It all began when Trump made controversial claims about the weather and climate change on Thursday:

Trump - In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against. Bundle up!

Trump’s comments prompted Warren to rebuke him shortly after. She said: “I’m going to say something really crazy: I believe in science. Climate change is real and we have a moral obligation to protect this Earth for our children and grandchildren.”

Indeed, many people found Warren’s statement “crazy” just as she predicted. That’s because Warren takes the now-widely held progressive belief that there is a spectrum of genders and that just because someone is born one gender, that doesn’t mean that’s the gender they really are.

Also, Warren believes that abortion is perfectly reasonable. The assumption that goes along with that belief is that aborted fetuses aren’t really humans.

Critics also slammed Warren for claiming that she is part-Native American, something that many have called into doubt.

- HOW MANY GENDERS ARE THERE, SCIENCE LADY?

- You believe in science. So... two genders, senator?

- I have 4 MIT STEM degrees.You've got NONE. That's why YOU protect Monsanto & its Fake Science that poisons our food & why YOU "believe in climate science" so Goldman Sachs & Al Gore can make trillions on Carbon Tax!

The climate has been in a constant state of change from the beginning. But the political propaganda creates a false notion that climate change must have been caused by human activity. Questioning whether contemporary climate change is caused by human activity even when accompanied by evidence such as the little ice age and medieval warming period is condemned as science denial.

Yes, I support their candidacy. They are, at the moment, the perfect hypocrites to lead the Democratic party forward.

As climate warms, evaporation from the ocean increases. This results in more water vapour in the air. Globally, atmospheric water vapour has increased by about 5% over the 20th century.

Great. So you are saying the climate is changing. I don't think many here are arguing with you on that point. The question is, is it due to natural forces just as have been occurring since the Earth had a climate, or is mankind all of the sudden causing this? To deny that the climate is in a constant state of change is to deny the science behind it. To all of a sudden believe that it is only changing due to mankind's influence, is to play into the political arguments.
