Use your common sense. If more humans have asthma and tree frogs and bees are disappearing, we know human activity causes that. Whether through toxic fertilizer or car pollution. The earth is a big living organism. It's sick. Beaches get covered in tar, air is stanky and thick, you can't drink the water, chemicals poison our food, and the ocean has warmed and risen since the industrial revolutions; rainforests and forests in general are devastated; cars cars and more cars, and trucks; chemical plant by products fill the air, garbage and drugs are trying to fill the oceans, permafrost has receded and small island nations are under water. Even great Exxon is preparing for the rising tide.
Of course there have been natural causes of ice ages and dry periods. mostly mega volcanoes. seen any of those lately?
Of course when you constantly trash ANYTHING-the air the water the land, it is going to affect the planet sooner or later.
Instead of denying it's ever gonna be too much, we ought to be getting together to demand huge percentages of energy be produced by non fossil fuel. And we should be careful how we craft that.
Quit mining and burning our way out of land and water. And for God's sake quit the horrible Satanic fracking.

Once again, you are saying that the climate is changing, but you have not made a case for it being the result of man. I agree, we should clean up the environment and quit polluting it. There are other countries that are most guilty of this (China).

But you still have not addressed the point I made. Explain how the climate of the Earth has been in a constant state of change since the Earth had a climate, but now all of a sudden it is due to mankind?

And I'm sorry to tell you this, but fossil fuels will continue to be our primary source of power until the technologies can be developed to make renewable forms of energy efficient enough and practical to use. At this point in time, they are simply not there yet.

Mega volcano's? Do a little research. Yellowstone may go boom any day. There are others. Some recent ones have blacked out the sun for years.

Sandy islands come and go via erosion. Rock islands do not, and best show the rise and fall of mean sea levels.

I believe the Bishop rock lighthouse was built in 1818 on the smallest rock Island off the British Sicily Isles. It is still, today, above water.

But fear not. For every failed climate meme a new new one can be invented. Recently I've been hearing that all that new water weight is pushing the sea floor down so the islands are actually sinking. I guess that means that Virginia Beach will now be higher above water. A few billion bucks of research we'll know for sure.

Of course we heard the new concept the other day that there is 5% more water in the atmosphere because of GW and respective ocean evaporation. Same poster BTW.
My immediate question is ,,,; Would not that cause the sea levels to go "DOWN?"

When I was in school, humans were causing "Global Cooling" because all the pollutants in the air were blocking the suns rays causing things to cool down and if we didn't change our ways we were headed for another ice age.


Note: Please do not take this comment to mean I do not believe we should be good stewards by not polluting and trashing the only plant we have. I've personally seen some of the most rabid climate change activists I know toss garbage out their car window. Actions speak louder than words. If Al Gore wants people to change he should lead by example by lowering his OWN carbon footprint instead of trying to spend other peoples money on such measures. That goes for all of the other people out there screaming about climate change as well. When your carbon footprint is smaller than mine, we can have a discussion.
