Rosie O'Donnell: Reality Winner is a 'brave young patriot,' gives her $1000

The woman who leaked top secret info, threatened to burn down the WH, and pledged allegiance to the Taliban is a "brave young patriot" in the eyes of Rosie 'Buffet' O'Donnell. The Macy's Day balloon even gave Winner a grand.

Rosie O'Donnell: Reality Winner is a 'brave young patriot,' gives her $1000 | Fox News

Rosie O'Donnell defended a woman charged with leaking U.S. government secrets, calling 25-year-old Reality Winner a "brave, young patriot."

O'Donnell tweeted Thursday, "i support reality winner speak truth to power #resist #womenUNITE" and added a link to a GoFundMe page to raise money for Winner.

She also defended Winner after a Twitter user said the 25-year-old got herself into trouble by being "careless."

"Brave not careless," O'Donnell responded.

She also confirmed on Twitter that she donated $1,000 to Winner.

Winner, a government contractor, remains locked up on federal charges that she mailed a classified report to an online news outlet. The Justice Department announced her arrest Monday as The Intercept reported that it had obtained a classified report suggesting Russian hackers attacked a U.S. voting software supplier days before last year's presidential election.

Speaking of names and spelling, lots of people spell my given first name wrong.
No, it's not with two e's, and the surname has often been taken wrong/spelled wrong as in the WW2 battle between the allies and Nazi Germany or that coffee and donut place .. shaysh!

Hey, you may be onto something. :) This filly seems to have gotten off track and ran the wrong way. There is a bubbling PR campaign, starting off in her own jail cell, to portray her as hero, victim, patriot, and whistle blower. Her tearful mom conveyed how scared her little girl was when the Feds came knocking. Rosie believes Winner is a brave national hero as does Joshua Holland at The Nation. Do you think she's a hero/whistle-blower?
