Excellent, this treaty/deal was a pending economic disaster for the U.S. Exiting this treaty was one of his major campaign promises, glad he has followed through.

What an abject failure in American leadership. Almost 200 nations on earth, from the most to least prospereous, the most to least capitalist and socialist, to the freest and North Koreaest, recognize that climate change is real, not a Chinese hoax as our dumbass president thinks, human activity contributes, and we as stewards of this planet ought to try to do better by what has given us so much. China and Europe are now poised to lead the way in the development and implementation of cleaner energy on a large, sustainable, and affordable scale, as is where the energy markets are headed.

And our government thinks we should blow up mountain tops, keeping mining coal, and plug our ears off form the rest of the world.

This is literally the opposite of trying to make America great again. This is a diminishing of our leadership.

Thank You President Trump

Quote:
Meeting the commitments President Obama made as part of the Paris climate accord could cost the U.S. economy $3 trillion and 6.5 million industrial sector jobs by 2040, according to a comprehensive new study prepared by NERA Economic Consulting.
Quote:
The report’s central scenario projects that additional regulatory actions necessary to meet the Paris target would by 2025 reduce U.S. GDP by $250 billion, reduce economy-wide employment by 2.7 million jobs, and lower household income by $160.

I find it quite interesting that you have mentioned China.

That is because China (and India) are not expected to enter into this agreement until 2030.

Of course, the agreement is basically unenforceable. But that would not have stopped the left from promulgating new regulations (something that they are quite adept at, anyway) to comport with this agreement.

Note: This was never a treaty. Then-President Obama did not submit it to the Senate, as he knew that it would never pass. It was merely an executive order--which, I suppose, he hoped that no successor would dare to undo...

Actually, I do not think that The Administrative State should tell coal miners that they no longer have jobs...but (not to worry!) this state will see to it that they are re-trained, so that they can re-direct their lives...
