Have a good long talk with some people who have UHC.... yes, some like it. Others will explain to you it's limitations and failings in great detail. Those who like it, will give you very vague reasons why. Those who don't like it, will give you great detail why they don't like it.

Oh, and it's interesting why many on UHC, will come to the USoA for treatment or surgery.....

Things to think about.....

From the Congressional Budget Office that scored the AHCA...

Quote:
CBO and JCT estimate that, in 2018, 14 million more people would be uninsured under H.R. 1628 than under current law. The increase in the number of uninsured people relative to the number projected under current law would reach 19 million in 2020 and 23 million in 2026. In 2026, an estimated 51 million people under age 65 would be uninsured, compared with 28 million who would lack insurance that year under current law.
H.R. 1628, American Health Care Act of 2017

What the CBO is saying in the above, is that 14/19/23/51 million people would lose their healthcare insurance under the AHCA/Trumpcare 'over-and-above' the ACA/Obamacare (under current law). The CBO report says nothing of people voluntarily opting out.

In other words, for the year 2018 for example:
1) People losing healthcare insurance under ACA/Obamacare = X
2) People losing healthcare insurance under AHCA/Trumpcare = X+14 million

And this is why the rest of the world comes to the United States for treatment instead of staying in their own, worthless country for such treatments. Living near Cleveland, I have seen numerous elites from around the world come to the Cleveland Clinic for treatments they cannot receive where they come from. We also see ordinary people from Canada crossing the border to see a doctor in the United States because they have to wait months in Canada to see one.

The rest of the civilized world has crazy ideas about a lot of things, bit does not make them right. It seems to me that this country has led the way in many different areas such as defense, industrialization, innovation and medical research. Why would I care what the rest of the world wants? They are usually looking to us to save their butts when things don't go as planned. Why follow them down the tubes?

Actually about 300,000 of the worlds richest come to the most specialized hospitals in US. But the US is far from the most popular destination in the world for healthcare.

I travel to Scripps in La Jolla, they are by far the best, especially for Orthopedic injuries in old men that have abused and broken their bodies over their lifetime.

IS La Jolla the one just north of San Diego? By the way, abusing your self makes you go blind. Stop it.

You are wrong again. Many countries show better medical results than we do. I personally have used Bumrungrad hospital in Thailand for surgery. I would use them for anything over our hospitals.

Lol, I've heard that. Yes it is just north of SD, right on the ocean. It is the most efficient and professional medical facility I have ever been to. They said that I am a candidate for surgery on my back, and right knee. Cortisone shot took care of my left knee. I decided to use their PT recommendations and not get the surgeries until I absolutely have to. I'm still hitting the gym 4-5 days a week. Along with walking and hiking again. I'm not getting any younger, but maintaining what I can.
