And then you have mouth-breathing retards who confuse swastikas with utility markers.

Trump-hating celeb asks if spray-painted symbols are ‘an attempt at swastikas.’ Oops. – TheBlaze

And somebody exposed some self-proclaimed rape victim individuals which lied about their crime.

Does that mean anything regarding rape in general?

Rape is still a problem.

Likewise, hate crimes are an actual thing. Some false attempted claims are sometimes made, but that doesn't disprove the problem.
There were 5,818 single-bias incidents involving 7,121 victims. Of those victims, 59.2 percent were targeted because of a race/ethnicity/ancestry bias; 19.7 percent because of a religious bias; 17.7 percent because of a sexual orientation bias; 1.7 percent because of a gender identity bias; 1.2 percent because of a disability bias; and 0.4 percent because of a gender bias.

Almost 20 victims a day.
And occasionally, the right wants to jump up and down and talk about a false claim like it disproves something regarding the general issue...
You are comparing apples and oranges again. The difference between a falsely reported "hate" crime and a falsely reported rape is motivation. In a typical falsely reported rape the victim engages is consensual sexual contact then as a result of guilt or fear of being called promiscuous reports it as rape.
In all falsely reported "hate" crimes the motivation is purely political. That is the so called victim is attempting create an illusion that wide spread attacks on leftists by conservatives occur frequently.

It certainly does't discount legitimate claims of rape, but since most so called "hate" crimes turn out to be a hoax it does cast doubt on reports of this nature

Hardly addresses the issue that a majority in society want these crimes to be punished more severely..

I'm not sure what you're even saying.
The motive in a crime has always been utilized for sentencing.

This isn't about saying one victim deserves more than another.
If Jon were killed because of a hate crime, that's sentencing guideline A.
If Jon were killed when it wasn't a hate crime, that's sentencing guideline B.
That doesn't make Jon special.

They are more than welcome to argue that at trial.

we eliminate hate crimes from our books tomorrow.
You realize that murder still carries with it a variety of sentences.

Your complaint is not really about "hate crimes" but something our society (and many others) have been implementing for millenia.
In fact, I would be curious if you knew any government that implements ONE and ONLY ONE punishment for murder.
There is a difference between premeditated and incidental.
There is a difference between incidental, and accidental.
There is a difference between accidental and self defense.

So what if someone yelled a slur while killing someone, versus an innocent bystander being shot in a robbery. By decreeing a harsher penalty for one or the other, says that the victim's life was worth more than the other.

I know what the courts say, but I absolutely disagree with it. I've argued this point many times, several times on here.

If I'm killed because I have brown hair, or I'm killed because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I am still dead. Does the value of my life change for one reason or another?
