![]() The last I saw (earlier today), 68 Representatives--all of them Democrats--had announced intentions to boycott the Inauguration tomorrow (January20).
I really do not think this speaks well of them. One may disagree--even deeply--with the proposed policies of the incoming president, and yet still respect the office of the presidency. This shows serious disrespect for that office. And it shows no regard, whatsoever, for the tradition, in this country, of the peaceful transfer of power. Sad.

![]() Yeah, I've said it many times. Hes a crook and will be impeached.

People have said not to just dismiss the right as stupid, as it's polarizing and you won't get through to them that way, etc. But it's hard to imagine that someone with even average intelligence could be so lacking in self-awareness as they are. |

![]() Leaving aside, for a moment, your assertion that Donald Trump is a "crook" (did you really prefer Hillary Clinton in this regard?), the fact remains that (1) "impeach[ment]" is hardly the same thing as removal from office (just ask Bill Clinton about that; he was impeached); (2) both the House (which has the power of impeachment) and the Senate (which has the power to confirm) are in Republican control; so you probably should not get your hopes up); and (3) hyper-partisan Democrats emphatically do not represent the American people--especially those Americans in the Midwest, the Plains states, the Rocky Mountain states, or the South.

![]() I am trying to remember any of you on the right complaining when the leadership of your party vowed not to work with Obama at all. Obama had to pass the spending bills that pulled us out of the nose dive the country was in without a single republican vote. Too late to complain about the partisanship your party promotes every day.

Unfortunately, most of them are from districts filled with like minded people, misinformed and poorly educated about what has made this the greatest country to ever exist on the planet. Bernie Sanders displayed as much the other day when he proclaimed that America is NOT a compassionate country. It took a good conservative (Rand Paul) to set the record straight, although Bernie probably didn't even listen. While I don't paint the entire Democratic party with this brush, there are a good number in the party that are about as un-American as you can get. And the country is beginning to wake up to that fact. |
