Oh my... She's Bush with boobs. My head hurts just listening to her. Does anyone really think that this woman is ready to be President?

I'm not going to lie, this woman frightens me. After eight years of George W. Bush, I'm vehemently opposed to a conservative Christian point of view in the White House. I don't like the fact that the vast majority of the religious right have forgotten what the face of God looks like. They have forgotten to be Christ like in their efforts to control the world.

I've watched the videos of her in her church, and I've read her opinion on social issues and I find her to be lacking. It makes me nauseous to think that McCain/Palin could be appointing Supreme Court justices. The shift in the balance on the court would be enough to destroy every social movement since the 60's with the exception of the Christian Dominionist movement.

This is why I believe there should be a separation of church and state, a separation so deep that people don't base their laws off their religion and don't base their religion off the laws. The religious right believes that we should create a world in their image, an image that frightens me.

I don't care if they abolish Roe v Wade, as long as we don't go back to the days of Dr.'s not being able to perform therapeutic abortions. I am opposed to a marriage amendment, however, and I think that would be a danger with a McCain/Palin nominee. I think abortion should be revisited as the ruling was based on a subject not near enough (for me) to the crux of the matter.

I have a huge problem with eliminating Roe v. Wade without a sound congressional response that makes sense. As we don't have that today, I must be vehemently opposed to overturning Roe v. Wade.

I am opposed to a constitutional amendment defining marriage.

I am opposed to a continuation of Don't Ask Don't Tell.

I am opposed to a continuation of the Defense of Marriage Act.

I believe that as long as marriage is a legal term, then it should be defined not by religion but by judicial principle. I believe that we must fight with all serious dedication the fundamental movement towards a church-state.

Our state should be secular. Period. It's the intent of the framers.

WOW!! What load of bigotted, hate-filled crap. You're so blinded by your hatred of Christians, that it's almost scary. People like you are the types who ended up running the crematoriums. You found a target for your hatred and in spite of massive evidence to the contrary, you will focus on that hatred to the utter exclusion of reason. very sad.....

dabateman IS a Christian...

I think he, like me, favors a secular approach from our government.
Religion is private, coming from personal beliefs. Espousing those beliefs via governmental control is something that should be avoided.

Personally, it's not her "Christianity" which is a concern for me...
Amongst other things, I am absolutely amazed that she actually repeated her *Alaska borders a foreign country, ergo that gives me foreign diplomacy experience* mentality.

The woman HAS NOT THE FIRST CLUE...

I don't hate Christians, I hate people who claim to be Christians but refuse to act in a Christ-like manner. To say that I would run crematoriums is absurd. It's the bigotry caused by these "Christians" that caused the whole crematoriums anyway. People who claimed to be of Christ while being totally un-Christ-like. You basically proved my point with your absurd rant.

Bush's party, McCain's party have used Christians and Christianity long enough.
It is time for real Christians to stand up and say we oppose the politicization of our most private and spiritual interpretations of our higher power.
"Religiosity" is what has passed for common sense and decency.
Because these politicians know we crave common sense and decency as Americans.
Nobody has the right to twist my belief system for their own self interest. Enough is enough.
