Sorry to sidetrack you into reality, but our government leaders have dirty hands in the matter of pork, spending, kick-backs. You think McCain/Palin will change all that. I don't.

If you are talking about her bridge, we discussed that on here somewhere, but she takes pork. She kept the money. No different than any other pol, but not exactly a muckraker.

I've done a bit of 'community organizing' myself over the last three decades, and the one thing you can be sure of is big groups like ACORN are usually fronts for other agendas, and in many cases merely fronts for a single politician; if there ain't any personal benefit in a project for them, they aren't going to give you the time of day.
Any independent activist knows to not go to outfits like ACORN if you need help doing something locally; you go to local fire stations, and mainly small churches, and even some of the big indy churches, if you need volunteers and help putting something together. |

It was Obama's bridge. He VOTED FOR it. He then voted NOT to reassign the money to New Orleans when the bridge was canceled.....As a states governor you are SUPPOSED to seek funds from the federal government....As a senator you are SUPPOSED to prevent "waste".....So who was doing THEIR job?
