ESPN fires analyst over ‘offensive’ transgender bathroom post

There simply will be no dissent from the secular progressive agenda in America.

World Series champion pitcher Curt Shilling was fired as a baseball analyst Wednesday by ESPN over a comment he made about men using women’s bathroom facilities, the New York Daily News reported.

The former All-Star player shared a meme Monday on Facebook that is being seen as “anti-transgender” by many on the left.

“A man is a man no matter what they call themselves,” Schilling wrote in the post. “I don’t care what they are, who they sleep with, men’s room was designated for the penis, women’s not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic.”

The meme and Schilling’s commentary stirred up a lot of controversy in the LGBT community, prompting the outspoken former player to respond by saying if anyone was offended, “that’s your fault, all yours.”

“The latest brew ha ha is beyond hilarious,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday after deleting the original post. “I didn’t post that ugly-looking picture. I made a comment about the basic functionality of mens and womens restrooms, period.”

ESPN released a statement on Wednesday with a different take on who was at fault.

“ESPN is an inclusive company. Curt Schilling has been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and his employment with ESPN has been terminated,” the company announced.

Schilling was suspended by ESPN in August for comparing Muslim extremists to Nazis on Twitter, but considering the network’s PC environment, the high-profile politically conservative analyst was living on borrowed time since coming on board in 2010.

The Daily News noted the irony at play.

“Ironically, Schilling’s penchant for shooting his mouth off is what made him a marquee analyst,” the newspaper said. “Unlike ESPN’s current roster, which is bland by comparison, Schilling was fearless, not afraid to offer pointed criticism. He never held back.”

But Schilling finally went too far for the social justice warriors at ESPN.

As long as the weirdos don't attempt to shove it down our throats that we have to gush over their insanity.

So Curt Schilling has been fired by ESPN, a for-profit company, for his alleged non-inclusive comments. They are certainly free to do that as are other companies. I disagree with ESPN but they are free to do what they did. Their standards are what they are and as we all know, there's no crying in baseball.

They surely have a legal right to do so, but the hypocrisy of allowing people like ESPN host Tony Kornheiser to say that the Tea Party is like ISIS on official ESPN radio but Shilling gets canned for much less offensive comments on Facebook is glaring...

It's the same hypocrisy that comes from companies like E-bay, or Paypal boycotting the state of North Carolina for passing a bill against transgender bathrooms, but still doing business in countries like Saudi Arabia where homosexuals can be put to death.

On top of that, their COMPANY bathroom policies are the same as the people they attack...

Free speech isn't dead for liberal ESPN hosts. Tony received no discipline for these remarks.

ESPN's Tony Kornheiser asks whether Tea Party is like ISIS | TheHill

ESPN has a rep for turning a blind eye to controversial remarks by liberal commentators while punishing conservatives for their comments.

Do you think if we told Democrats to put together a list of words and phases that they deem offensive, that they would do that for us? I'm getting more confused everyday about what words are allowed to come out of my mouth. maybe Obama should appoint a free speech czar and get the DOJ involved. We could probably get 3/4 of the country fired from their jobs. That would be absolute heaven for the left. presuming of course that I am allowed to say heaven.
