Default Protests erupt in Chicago demanding mayor step down

I hope they run Rahm out on his ear. He sacrificed the police chief trying to protect himself from this outrrages story. Not a chance. Run his ass out.

CHICAGO -- Protesters who have been calling for Mayor Rahm Emanuel to resign ever since video of the fatal police shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald was made public were not moved by the mayor's apology on Wednesday, reports CBS Chicago.

Hundreds of protesters are marching through the streets near Chicago's City Hall, blocking traffic and chanting, "16 shots and a cover-up" and "Shut it down."

The crowd, which set out from Daley Plaza in the early afternoon, was peaceful but angry.
On Wednesday, the mayor apologized for the 2014 shooting of a black teenager during a special City Council meeting that he called to discuss a police abuse scandal at the center of the biggest crisis of his administration, and promised "complete and total" reform to restore trust in the police.

CBS Chicago reports several protesters stood just outside the City Council chamber as Emanuel was speaking, and at one point, a bit of chaos erupted as some protesters began shoving each other, before others stepped in to calm things down.

One local minister told CBS Chicago he's not convinced the mayor will bring any real change to the Chicago Police Department.

"We just witnessed the mayor basically put a Band-Aid on a gunshot wound," said Bishop James Dukes, pastor of Liberation Christian Center in Englewood. "I think it was politically driven. I think he had to give a distinctive apology, at least say he was sorry, but the intent that was involved in it, I don't think is there."

I hope they do to. To cover that up for a year is messed up, the buck stops at Rahm, the police chief, and probably a few others.

No cries of "racism" about a Democrat for his ACTIONS?

Just cries of "racism" about Republicans for their WORDS?

Go figure...

I'll take these buffoons more seriously when they protest the killings of the astonishingly amount of blacks at the hands of fellow blacks.

To not say jack-f*ck about blacks killing blacks at an alarming rate, but protest the rare time a cop unjustly kills a black reeks of hypocrisy and screams "agenda."

One standard, please, not two.

Because it doesn't look like what Rahm and the prosecutor did what they did because of race. It looks like it was because of politics. The officer and those cops that lied is another story. That may be race based.

I don't care what a racist like yourself takes seriously. Everything with you is about blacks,

Most Republicans disagree with Obama due to politics, not because he's black, but that doesn't stop you and the other race baiters from screaming "racism!"

That isn't true. Because time and time again we point out that Obama's policies are not as far out as other recent Presidents but the right screams about him being the worse. For example. The right keeps trashing Obama because he mentions some gun regulations. But it was two Republican Presidents that actually did it. But you on the right don't throw them under the bus. This is just one example and I could do this all day. So I look at it and say "Hmm, Why is he called the worse?" The only thing I can come up with is his race. We have less immigrants coming over the border than we have in years. But the right claims he has flung the border open. Just about anything you can mention the RW rhetoric is far beyond the facts.
We see racism all the time and to pretend it isn't a big part of the trashing of Obama would make anyone an idiot. I have mentioned before that Obama has had his faith, education and birthplace questioned and many on the right want to continue calling the man a Muslim. This hasn't happened to any other man in this position. It's racism Hairy. Right down to the ground.

You're dreaming, Rahm isn't going to see any consequences over this. He's b.o.'s buddy and probably knows where the skeletons are hidden. Rahm will skate free and clear.
