The ironic thing is that most government employees don't do anything to deserve their regular-time pay in the first place...

Why do 40 hours to screw-up and deceive the taxpayer when you can do 50?...

I love self-checkout. We have it at most places now. Cashier is becoming a non value-add position.

I'll stack my forty years of running my own business against yours.

Nonsense, more robots because employers are forced to pay more for labor = less jobs and less overtime or more jobs going elsewhere or elsewhere illegally entering the country for the jobs. Robots and illegals demand neither overtime nor minimum wage.

Strangely, liberals don't see the connection, and actively promote both government intervention and illegal workers.

They don't like those robots, though.

However you run your business is your business. That's how it should be.

However I choose to run my business is not your business.

Where in the post that you quoted did I say anything how you should run your business?Go back and take a look at the first sentence of OC's post (which I was addressing)and MAYBE it'll sink in.

I think some time and motion studies are due for government workers. I do not have a problem with it for private businesses. Far too many employers hire people for a salary based on 40 hours, and then basically force them to work 50-60, I worked for a place like that before I started my company, I do not make salaried employees work more than 40 hours, and the hourly get paid time and a half for OT. It's sad that the government has to get involved.
