While I agree Abbas is no Angel, you did a bit forget something.

Abu Daoud, who planned the 1972 Munich massacre, where members of the Israeli team at the Munich Olympic Games were taken hostage, and which ended in the murder of eleven Israeli athletes and coaches as well as a West German policeman, wrote that funds for the operation were provided by Abbas, though without knowledge of the money's intended purpose.

See what I mean about the right taking things out of context? Happens all the time. BTW people change over time. Look at Begin and the King David Hotel.

The "angel" does think (an wrote about it) that the Holocaust didn't happen and that it's something the Jews just made up.

I don't believe it, you don't give money to people and not know what they are going to do with it unless you are totally stupid. He knew exactly what the money was going to be used for. And yes, that is my opinion, but based on the action of the PLO of which he is an active member I would say my opinion is correct. The guy is a POS!

He called the Holocaust “the most heinous crime to have occurred against humanity in the modern era” and expressing sympathy with victims’ families.

That's your problem. Because you chose not to believe something you lied and took things out of context. If you can't win an argument with the truth and facts you should probably shut up rather than perpetuate a lie.

Pope Francis praised Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as an "angel of peace" during a meeting Saturday at the Vatican that underscored the Holy See's warm relations with the Palestinians
Wonderful story...

...if you live in Fantasyland, because the pope said NO SUCH THING...

Let's see what the pope ACTUALLY said and know this is another example of why the media sucks...

Quote:
This morning Pope Francis received the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), in an audience in the Vatican Apostolic Palace. The meeting took place ahead of tomorrow’s canonization ceremony for the first two modern-day Palestinian saints and after a bilateral agreement was reached last Wednesday between the Holy See and the “State of Palestine”, to sign an accord int he near future which will regulate the status of the Church in the Middle Eastern country.

As is tradition with heads of State or of government, Francis presented a gift to the Palestinian leader, commenting: “May the angel of peace destroy the evil spirit of war. I thought of you: may you be an angel of peace.”
In other words, he's saying "I wish and hope and pray that you're the guy that finally stops the bullsh*t."...

He's NOT calling him a "man of peace" because of anything Abbas has already done...He's hoping (falsely IMO) that he WILL BECOME an "angel of peace" in the FUTURE...

Damn, you beat me to it redd. (I should have logged in earlier and would have beaten you to it ).

I KNEW there had to be a warp to that story. Poor Mikeyy relies on AFP, Reuters, AP, etc., all proven to be highly biased against Israel.

Mikeyy - you once made fun of someone here for using the Arutz Sheva website for news about Israel, but if anything that site, and IsraelNationalNews are likely to get to the bottom of anti-Israel stories - it might be good if you use them rather than your other sources.

Try this one too:
