Default Harry Reid doesn't regret accusing Mitt Romney of not paying taxes

What a lying, slimy, no-good, piece of rat sh*t, scumbag. Dude should be kicked out of Congress ASAP.

Quote:
The outgoing Senate Minority Leader even bragged to CNN that the comments, which had been described as McCarthyism, helped keep Romney from winning the election.

"They can call it whatever they want. Romney didn't win did he?" Reid said during a wide-ranging interview.
1:20 for the "I'm proud of my BS lie" part.

Harry Reid has no regrets accussing Mitt Romney of not paying taxes - CNN.com

New York (CNN) Retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid sat down with CNN's Dana Bash for a candid interview, where his body language, expressions, and willingness to address critics fit the expectations of just about anyone readying for retirement.

Reid reveals he initially wanted to retire before his last election, but was antagonized by the naysayers and decided to run, "one newspaper here in Nevada kept beating up on me" and so naturally...

He says his current decision to retire at age 75 is to be remembered for his first 34 years in the Senate, not his last six.

"There's nobody that can work harder than I work" admitting that his style "might not be somebody else's style." But, he doesn't seem to care what people think of him.

"I don't want to be somebody I'm not," he says.

Bash also asks about whether he regrets accusing Mitt Romney, with no evidence, of not paying his taxes. Without hesitation, "I don't regret that at all." When Bash followed up about some calling it "McCarthyite", he gave a shrug with a little smirk: "Romney didn't win, did he?"

So, there you have it.

Bash also notes Reid is proud of the work he's done to revitalize Las Vegas and bring renewable energy to Nevada. Once retired though, it's these candid moments that some might miss.

Have I mentioned that truth is inimical to Modern Liberalism?

What gets me is:

A - A Senate majority leader can get away with making a blatant lie about a presidential candidate.

B - Liberals as a whole remain silent and refuse to call out Reid for his lie.

If I were a Democrat I'd be embarrassed.

Sadly, the left's definition of "truth" is not the same as yours or mine: They seem to embrace A Larger Truth; and if the narrative they set forth may help to advance that Larger Truth, well then, the end justifies the means.

Or so they very often appear to think, anyway...

If I need to lie on the Senate floor and have that lie entered into the Congressional record to help a member of my party win an election, then so be it...

THE END JUSTIFY THE MEANS...

What democrats that you know personally defend Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi…?

I'm a democrat and don't respect either one. After they were selected they got their chance and they both became big disappointments fairly quickly….

Fast forward to today Hairy……

~ McConnell and Boehner are the "new" republican leaders……

How do you feel about those two about now……

I hope you get my point…..

Mitch McConnell and John Boehner are, indeed, strong partisans; and unabashedly so.

But Harry Reid is not being criticized for his partisanship. Frankly, that is to be expected.

Rather, he is being criticized--and rightly so, I think--for taking to the Senate floor, as the then-Majority Leader, and setting forth a lie, in the hope of getting his own party's candidate elected as president.

And then (even in reflective retrospect) declaring that he has no regrets about this.

Well, at least he is candid about his blatant dishonor...

Will also not be held accountable...

In a reasonable world, she'd say she was appalled to be lied to by a fellow lawmaker and ashamed she defended him...

Nancy Pelosi: 'It Is A Fact' That Somebody Told Harry Reid About Romney Not Paying Taxes

Quote:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) fired back at Republicans accusing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) of lying about a Bain Capital investor telling him that Mitt Romney hadn't paid taxes in 10 years. They don’t know what they're talking about, Pelosi says.

"Harry Reid made a statement that is true. Somebody told him. It is a fact," Pelosi told The Huffington Post in a Sunday interview. "Whether he did or not can easily be disposed of: Mitt Romney can release his tax returns and show whether he paid taxes."

Both Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus came out swinging against Reid on Sunday over his claims about Romney potentially not paying taxes. Asked to respond to Priebus calling Reid "a dirty liar" over the situation, Pelosi initially responded, "Who?" She went on to say that Priebus doesn't know what he's talking about since he wasn't part of Reid's conversations.

"Well he doesn't know that," Pelosi said. "Harry Reid is a person who is, as we know, A, is a fighter, B, he wouldn't say this unless it was true that somebody told him that."
Survey says?...

Lets just hope what goes around comes around. Some day he will want to master that "exercise machine" that smashed his right eye, and face...

Next time around maybe the hand of God will smack him on the other side, so he will match.

I cann't think of anything that could be better for the old boy than for that to happen!

Regards, Kirk
