Scott Walker Projected to Win Re-Election in Wisconsin | TheBlaze.com

This was the race I was most interested in.

So far, Walker is the most viable Republican presidential candidate that I've seen.

Quote:
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has defeated Democratic challenger Mary Burke, winning his third gubernatorial election in the state in four years, ABC and Fox News are projecting.

Walker’s victory will almost certainly make him a top contender for the Republican race for the White House in 2016.

same way cotton won here and McCain lost in his third party bid. They outspent their opponents. These are two pivotal states psychologically for the media and politicians. So they poured tons into them.

Um, the people of Walker's traditionally blue state just reelected him by a wide margin in spite of a massive union funded campaign against him. So in general, I think that we'd have to conclude that a majority of people in Wisconsin are actually rather pleased with him.

I disagree. It's all about hiring phone bank people and door knockers and placing ads. As I said that is what stopped McCain awhile back before he even finished. So we just disagree on this. Remember when Rs were so pizzed off cause the Clintons could raise so much money and they werent even republican!

Apparently, Walker's opponents had the cash advantage. They just had a silly set of messages.
Ad wars heat up in Wisconsin governor's race

Quote:
Through Oct. 13, the tracker estimated, more than 38,000 ads had aired in the Wisconsin governor's race, at a cost of $12.7 million. The Walker campaign spent $4.9 million on ads compared to Burke's $4.2 million. Overall, Burke and her backers had a slight spending edge.

The leading outside group spender, at $2.1 million, has been the pro-Burke Greater Wisconsin Committee. The group, funded largely by labor unions, engages in express advocacy as well as issue ads. In the governor's race, it's run mainly the latter, like the one that ends, "Tell Gov. Walker to stop selling out Wisconsin farmers."

Walker's backers include the Republican Governors Association, which has booked more than $2 million in state ad time through its offshoot, Right Direction Wisconsin.

Modern ad campaigns are remarkably nimble. On Oct. 6, the national political group Emily's List, which plans to spend $1.2 million on Burke's behalf, launched an ad ripping Walker's record on abortion. That same day, Walker came out with his own ad striking a moderate tone, saying he wanted "to increase safety and to provide more information for a woman considering her options."

Yeah if you still believe any media except cspan I got some ocean front...

Yes I was hoping Dems would out spend them. These illegal organizations with online donation buttons have meant a lot. And traditionally Democrats are older and middle class to poor. So there ya go.

Oh, I wanted the Democrats to outspend the Republicans too!

That means that they have less money to make mischief with.

Plus it helps to further legitimize the Walker Administration.

Are you saying Salty has gotten her facts a little confused?

That can't be, therefore it must be the media, yea, that must be it.

Except for Cspan.
