Redd I am complaining because this moron went on TV today and said he told us this was going to happen. If he knew it was going to happen why was his only attempt to stop it a lease givaway? Or a cut back in environmental policy. Why is it all about helping out oil companies exclusively? When we all agree the first drop won't show up until 2017? And I am being silly?

He said he knew it was going to happen because of the Democrat's own excuse...

They keep telling us that drilling won't help for years...But what they DON'T tell you (and Bush knows this), is that when drilling in places like ANWAR was first brought up in a bill Clinton vetoed it, and then when Bush took office the Democrats repeatedly blocked the legislation...

Maybe you don't. But the OTUS himself said today that although we won't see that oil for many years if ever. It will have a psycological effect on the market. So its Bush that said that not me. If you don't think the POTUS can inspire change then what dif does it make who is there?

Ask the folks who use to listen to FDR's fireside chats if he effected change. But then that was a leader.

What stopped the republican congress from allowing it. And BTW I said I don't care if they drill. How does that solve the problem? Lets drill. OK now we are drilling all over the place. Now we find we have still got a problem. What do we do now?

What does what I am saying have to do with that? It was just an attempt to obfuscate from the issue at hand. I thought I was trying to make a serious point. But its a waste of effort

Gee,the government has been trying to get us to conserve for many years and they failed. "Americans are addicted to oil" GWB. Now Americans are beginning to conserve due to high prices at the pump. I'm not sure Bush needs to tell them that conservation will also save them money. He would be accused of yet another "duh" statement.
