I'm not for isolationism but would like to see us stop being the worlds cop or moral judgement caller. We could also learn some things about morals and wise judgement based on more than money or our interests.
Not a word about the failure of the isolationism you champion in Afghanistan. Just change the subject to defense spending. Well Obama is following your advice hollow in out the military, abandoning our friends and appeasing our foes. How's that working out? Oh, it's just fine for the Iranians to develop nuclear weapons, the Taliban to create a safe haven for terrorists in Afghanistan and the Russians to rebuild the Soviet Union because our allies don't share enough of the burden.

How about explaining how well turning our back on Afghanistan after the Soviets left worked out?

Hmmm, so newspaper reporters know more about what happened during this period than the actual troops who lived through it? These reporters are basically calling our troops liars. I prefer to listen to the people who actually experienced it rather than some liberal reporter who writes articles as he wishes it would be.

Not a traitor, but definitely he deserted, even his father admitted that.

‘Wow!’ And so it begins: White House smears vets, claims ‘swift boating’ of Bergdahl | Twitchy

White House calling military nasty names. I guess that "non-disclosure agreement" they forced the servicemen to sign didn't work out to well.

You do know every nation that has invaded Afghanistan has gone either bankrupt or been defeated trying to beat them. The USSR collapsed as a result of 10 years there and we aren't far from that. Next time I recommend with just turn the whole damn place into black glass or stay the hell out of the middle east including Israel another free loader nation. Oh and thank the Reagan administration and the Democratic congress for dropping the ball on Afghanistan after the Russian invasion. But that was just one of the many mistakes Reagan made leading to what happened on 9/11 since he convinced them the the super powers weren't so powerful. Carter had the right idea however being a dem little chance the right winger that followed (and would be a Rino today) ignored it and even traded arms for hostages. Go figure and never mind the 200+ marines killed in a terrorist attack never followed up on except leaving.
