And the little run down looking truck stop ain't bad either. Spent my anniversary there once waiting for permits. Actually we knew we didn't have permits. We just didn't want to go to NYNY!

The other is Oregon. Cross the river into Washington and you pay the same price to stand in the rain and pump your own gas.

I don't pump my own gas here either - though the "quickie" gas stations (usually connected to convenience stores) are pump your own.

I love not having to get out in the rain or the heat or the snow ... though I must say, with increased gas prices, I'm starting to object to the $2 tip! LOL

Actually here, if you cross the river into New York you pay more to stand in the rain and pump your own gas, . I think this is one of the cheapest states, average gas around me is about $3.87. At least it is always well below the national average.

That's just for you...

When you leave the pumps, they drop the price back down again...

I don't know.... All I do know is that I pull up and say "Fill 'er up, Norm - cash." and one song on the radio later my gas tank is filled, my windshield is washed and my wallet's lighter.
