If you ever have anything but a worthless comment on posts, I'll be surprised.

Israel's support isn't from Republican's, it is solid liberal support, mostly out of New York City and state; Massachusetts; Illinois and California. Even mentioning that perhaps Israel should negotiate brings almost instant angry political response from those states. Look, Israel is the strongest military nation in the Middle East, fully capable of fending off ANY attack on them from ANY Arab state. They have comfortably moved their civilian population into occupied Arab lands to settle, after driving out the Palestinians; destroying their homes and buildings; cutting off the water supplies and building a wall to separate them from their farms and jobs. Palestinians have to have special travel documents to move about over there. If that doesn't sound like some other country, which went on an overnight rampage in the 1930's in Germany against the Jews, don't know what does.

Some people just don't understand what the former mayor of Jerusalem told Israel years ago, that they must negotiate with their Palestinian neighbors even as they scrape up the dead bodies of their civilians killed by Arab terrorists. A Palestinian state, whether is supports or opposes Israel, once created, would come under the domination and control of economic factor's and political factors, of the entire world, not Israel doing whatever it wants to over their in Arab territories. The same sanctions we level against Iran, did against Iraq, North Korea, Syria, South Africa, would cripple a hostile Palestinian state, and allow the UN to move against it militarily if necessary. For a modern military, the Israeli's have terrible aim. Terrorists launch a rocket into Israel, from some gawd-forsaken village along the border, which the local civilian population neither supports, or can prevent, and in retaliation, Israel destroys the entire village, men, women and children. Been doing it for decades - it hasn't ever worked. One of these days they will learn to negotiate their way out of trouble instead of bombing their way out.

Anyway, I also agree with the other poster, although the support for Israel is rock solid in America, we certainly are in a good position with the Arab Spring, and and so many Arab states in disarray, that America could cut Isreal loose as an ally, let her do whatever she wants. The Israeli's will, of course, make a hash out of it, than plead for American support back, after trying genocide on their Palestinian neighbors, and complaining to an uninterested world body of nations, that they are being persecuted. That act is old, lame, and inaccurate........STFAN

Israel has a "Victim Mentality?" Where's that, I've never seen it. What I've seen is a civilized nation trying to go about their business in peace when surrounded by a sea of murderous savages beholden to the world's largest death cult, and determined that they'll never be victims again.

You're right. I should turn over a new leaf and start supporting the terroristic monkeys bent on destroying Israel. They got their asses kicked trying to take back their land stolen by Jordan, you see.

Obama can't cross any line without a teleprompter.
