Jose did indeed survive 438 days drifting west from Mexico. There is a book, "438 Days", that was released in Nov. explaining his life and the event. Turtles, blood, birds, and urine helped sustain him. Ezekiel Cordoba's dying wish was for Jose to visit his mother. I think I'll read the book.
