I'm the unpredictable one.
Just say what I think, don't care much about the left/right thing.
Cause I'm on my own concerning a lot of stuff.

I don't speak enough espaniol to listen to the Mexican stations so I hear Mark Levin, Hannity, Some guy named Chas something and they are all ragging Mandela. I come to this site and they are ragging Mandela. Now most people think Mandela is the reason South Africa didn't turn into a bloody mess and he led a lot of people to a peaceful freedom. GWB and Obama will be going to memorialize the man.

But we always have to have some right wingers ruining a moment of bi partisan respect for what the man became. When I say he wasn't a communist I meant to say he didn't govern like a communist. Did he belong to the party years ago? Yes. But there were reasons for the things he did when he did them. Most people can allow for that. Mitch McConnell and others voted not to put sanctions on the apartheid regime. Does that make them racist? Does that mean they supported apartheid? I'll bet you can come up with excuses or explanations for them but you won't for Mandela.

Point I was trying to make is do we have to make everything into a political contention? How about instead of taking this opportunity to trash the man just leave it? Menachem begin was involved in terror and a bunch of British soldiers were killed. One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.

So do I think Mandela was pure all his life? I don't think that is important today. Do right wingers like to tear down anyone they see as a respected leftest leader. Yeah, I think so.
Well of course we want to tear down Leftist "leaders." That's only sensible. We don't want children to eat paint chips either even if the lead in them makes them really tasty. (There is a suspicion of a causal link here. That is that children who were not restrained from eating lead laden paint chips during their neurologically formative years might indeed go on to mistakenly believe that Leftists can be benign leaders.)

We want Leftist leaders, whether fuehrers, Communist Party chairmen, presidents for life, Dear Leaders, or Democrat Presidents to be discredited, defeated and forgotten as anything but disturbing object lessons to future generations on the evils of surrendering one's will to political charlatans.

That said, what we need to remember about Nelson Mandela, other than his amusingly psychotic and homicidal wife with her brigade of death and torture dealing "soccer teams," is this little ditty of his: "If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don't care."

That was after our years of effort to get him released from prison. For me the day he said that was the day that he died.

The president can order the flag flown at half mast (for government offices only) for a foreign dignitary. Only thing is, I don't think Mandela was a foreign anything.

Anyone who thinks Mandela was a great person would have loved Osama Bin LAden if Osama had become "peaceful" in his later years. Mandela didn't kill as many but he loved ordering executions. That was why he was in jail.

Just like in the US you can protest the government all you want but if you start killing people in the name of protest you go to jail.

Any words about the innocent people killed by an illegal and illicit government?
It was a revolution. If he had anyone killed from prison it would be the same as Thomas Paine being held prisoner and having British troops killed as they invaded America.

Watch This Grocery Store Erupt In Song For The Man The Entire World Loved

Quote:
When the news broke that beloved and revered civil rights icon Nelson Mandela had passed, it felt like the entire world took a collective sigh as we mourned the loss of one of the greatest heroes of a generation. The Woolworths in South Africa was planning a Christmastime fundraiser with a flash mob. At the last minute, they dropped the Christmas song they were going to sing and chose to pay tribute to "Tata Madiba." The song they chose is by British musician Johnny Clegg called "Asimbonanga," which was written in the 1980s calling for Mandela's release from prison. I can think of no better way for this flash mob to honor the legacy of a man who for many represented the heart and soul of the fight for freedom.
