British Lawmakers Vote in Favor of Gay Marriage - ABC News
In a first House of Commons vote on Tuesday, lawmakers voted 400 to 175 in support of the legislation. More votes are expected.

The bill has been championed by Prime Minister David Cameron and many senior officials.

But it has divided the ruling Conservative Party and faced stronger than expected opposition within its ranks.

Neither do some Christian faiths. Churches do not have to allow gay marriage in their places of worship and may exclude gays as members. Or purple people, or Republicans, or anyone named Barak. It's their prerogative.

Yeah, Christian faiths are mostly against gay marriage equality. They're allowed to marry whoever they choose. If they don't want gays in their church, it's perfectly OK for them to kick them out.

Logical and philosophical consistency is not a trait native to politicians. I'm sure that Muslims, of course, will be granted exemptions.

A whole lotta Methodists accept gays in their churches. Episcopalians
Episcopal Church Approves Gay Couples' Same-Sex Blessings
In fact I think Baptists are the biggest hold out. I guess Catholics too because they are run by the pope instead of church members.
