The warning area includes coastal areas from about 75 miles southeast of Cordova, Alaska, to the north tip of Vancouver Island, Canada, the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said. The warning area extends for about 475 miles.

I post this because I live at the northern edge of the tsunami waring area. The warning has been cancelled, and I didn't even feel a tremor here.

I wouldn't want any of my friends to worry! So you can both relax.

I have USGS earthquake alerts by email and text message, because we live in an area that is particularly susceptible to tsunamis. The first thing I did when I woke up this morning is check out tsunami.gov
