I disagree completely...

Last month I started a thread showing what the ACTUAL bill was all about...Pork projects and spending on stuff that had NOTHING to do with relief or aid...

This is a longtime tactic with Democrats...

They have a bill to help children, and then attached 50 things that don't have anything to do with helping children...just increased spending for pet projects...

Then, when the Republicans see through that ruse and defeat the bill, the Dems run to the nearest microphone and scream "They don't want to help the children!!!!"...

And, of course, the republicans would've been more than happy to pass it had the Dems NOT stuff it with crap...

That's what's happened here...The Senate could've had a bill that JUST gives relief and aid...the House would've passed it overwhelmingly...

But instead of doing that, they attached relief to the states hit by the hurricane with billions an billions of dollars of pork...

It's like saying "I'll sell you the oxygen mask you need help your breathing, but only if you buy the washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and a E-Z-Boy recliner, too...You can't buy the oxygen mask by itself."...

And it's the people that voted FOR it that should be ashamed...

Chris Christie is definitely wrong in his assessment, but it's understandable considering he just wants the end result...Getting his money and looking out for his state's best interests instead of the bigger picture...

Only dems do riders on bills? Republicans never do this? I am always amazed at these spins. Christie thinks it was right wing partisans. Republicans like Peter King thinks so. I think so. But somehow it's the Dems fault. Christie pointed out it has taken 6 times longer for this house to address this than it did for Katrina. Face it cnredd. You can spin until you are dizzy. Your rightwingers are hurting America. They are already threatening to hurt America with debt cieling hostage taking. You have a bunch of losers on your team and even other republicans are beginning to get disgusted.

But did you know that this "relief" package included $150 MILLION dollars for Alaskan fisheries?...

The fact that 12 weasel Senate Republicans voted for this calamity because they sold their vote doesn't dismiss the fact that EVERY Senate Democrat went along with sucking billions more out of the taxpayer wallet using Sandy Relief as cover...

The Republicans in the Senate proposed a bill that REMOVES all of the pork and deals with JUST Sandy relief...As the way it SHOULD'VE been...

Senate Republicans aim to cut Sandy aid bill down to $24 billion

The proposal didn't even make it to the floor...Harry Reid squashed it...

So here's what happened...

Senate Democrats propose a bill that deals with Sandy relief, THEN more than doubles it with pork...

Republicans respond with a proposal that JUST deals with Sandy relief and removes the pork...

Harry Reid wipes his ass with the Republican's proposal...

Harry Reid pushes ONLY his pork-filled proposal...In other words, he holds the people affected by Hurricane Sandy hostage...they can get help but ONLY if the government gets to spend billions elsewhere...

12 spineless Republicans jump in when they get their share of the pie and the Senate passes it...

Bill goes to the House where Republicans see the bullsh*t and put a stop to it...

WELL DONE!!!!...

Christie were to run for president in 2016, every single rightie on here that is totally trashing him right now for no f-cking good reason, and they who have attacked him for silly crap in the past as if he committed a mortal sin, I am 99.999% certain would vote for him over whoever the Democrat might be.
